Finally got the correct info (Thanas Rachel!) and found my car in cotus. It's still in processing but at least I can obsessively check the status 20 times a day and stare at the picture....
You're welcome, Murdered Out Pony! :D

First time poster, longtime viewer of this and other Mustang threads (own a '08 myself) - just a little cautionary tale for some of you who can't ID your car still on COTUS...
...
As the Ford Tracking site is still a pilot program, it may not always be up-to-date. If you send me a PM with your dealer code and order number, I can also help track your Mustang's progress.

You situation is similar to mine. Send a PM to fordservice with your order number, dealer number and all the info about the car. ...
Thanks for sending people our way, Droid_Junky. :)

I ordered my CO GT Premium convertible on 9/4. I don't have anything showing up on COTUS yet. This one will be a manual as I will soon be 58 and want to have a little more fun with this one.

Ordered mine from Yocum too. Did you order from Jeff. Mine is after yours. Agree on the winter issue in Pa. Not real crazy about the summer tires. lol
Hey, Kris - yep, got mine from Jeff: I saw his post to join the Mustang Club ($50) in order to get X-Plan pricing in another forum, joined, then traced him back to the dealership: it was the least I could do for saving me all that money! :hail: I need to call him and find out what steel snow rims will fit.

P.S. - I keyed in my VIN on FordEtis just now and got the same "Build Date: 30.11.0002" message as the other Triple Yellow GT Premium in this thread.

Good Stuff. Jeff is quite the car nut. He is what you dream of as a salesman. I drove two hours to place my order, because I'd rather give him the sale, than the idiots around here. Good to hear about your build date. Hopefully you will have it soon.

Thanks - hope yours gets built quickly, too.

I wish the 19" EcoBoost Performance Pack wheels had been options for the GT - much better looking than the GT's 19" multispoke upgrade. I decided to stick with the standard 18s and see if I could pick up an EcoBoost PP wheel/tire takeoff set on Ebay next .

Hello Mustang fans. New member here.

I've been perusing this forum for a while, and the info you guys provide is outstanding.

Several months ago, I started reading about the new Mustang, and ordered mine on 8/19. Ruby Red, GT Premium with PP. When I got my vin a few weeks ago, I e-mailed my salesman at Covert Ford in Austin and told him the Etis site is showing 30.11.0002 as a build date, which I took to mean November 30th. He said his system shows a build date of November 3rd, which I hope is correct.

Anyway, congrats to those who've already taken delivery and please keep providing your impressions. Gotta have something to hold on to. This waiting sucks.

So I ordered my EcoBoost Premium on May 30 with a completed production date of Sept 9. The car is built and awaiting transit. Anyone know how long it'll take to begin shipping the car? Cotus isn't giving me any kind of ship date.

Good news. Probably. Everyone's ETIS build date is 30.11.0002 until the car is actually built. That site is not predictive, it's an actual record.

Go to www.cotus.ford.com. Enter NOT your VIN but your order number and your dealer number, which you either have or can get from your dealer. You should see your car. Now the fun. Right click on the screen and choose "View Source Code." Really. Now ctrl-F and search BuildWeek. Hunt around and find the BuildWeek, which will be highlighted in yellow probably down a ways from where you are looking. Very convenient, I think. You will likely see 11-02-2014. You can also search BuildDate, which will be 11-03-2014 for now, until the Thursday before your build week, when it will change to the actual day of your buildweek when you are going to be built.

If you have a Mac and use Safari, the directions are more complicated but it't the same idea. Google Safari View Source Code.

You and everyone else in Job 1 are holding in the big lot in Flat Rock, waiting for QC checks and/or repairs. They start at the back of the lot, with the cars build around 9/25, and work to the front, to the cars build 8/27. So that makes you about the middle, right? No one has any firm dates on how long that will take, but you have to figure Ford is ready to ship those cars and is being diligent about getting the work done. Unfortunately nothing I have seen about how to track that, until you go to In Transit on COTUS.

I imagine those will be pretty easy to come by, given the number of people howling about hating black wheels (including me.) Just note the EB wheels are 19x9 all around, while the GT PP wheels are 19x9 front, 19x9.5 rear. May not matter to you but it's there.

I'm guessing once they get to the car that's beyond repair, they just smash all the rest of what's on the lot, that's why they go backward through them.

Question. When they crush one of these cars. Do they strip parts from them? You know, like the engine/drive train, wheels, seats, etc. I'd imagine there's things that can be saved or cost less to save than to replace, right?

Interesting question. Since the engine is serialized to the car (right?) that could be challenging to move to another shell. I have no idea. Maybe some of our local production experts can help?
