As of last Friday my dealer had allocation for 2 LE's and both were unspoken for, they were asking $5k over MSRP..
I saw one guy a few pages back who was about to jump off a bridge because he ordered one at $10k over MSRP. You're going to make him jump! Haha

Ha well still time to cancel and re-order depending on location, if I was going to save anything around or over $1,000 I would call and tell the current dealership I was offered a better price and if they can't match it I'll by elsewhere. Hopefully no deposit's will be lost...for a few hundred here or there I'm not worried but $5k is enough to lose a deposit over if I have to.

Agreed! Same thing happened to me actually. It wasn't a 5k difference but a 1k difference. I ordered on 5/21, got XPlan pricing of $38,100, and quickly gave them a $500 deposit without asking if it was refundable. The dealer was a friend of a friend so I figured it could be worked out if I needed to cancel. Anyway, another dealer came back at exactly $1,000 cheaper without even using XPlan. My dealer scoffed and said he couldn't match that and something had to be "up" but ultimately said go for it. I went to the new dealer, it was legit, signed and placed a new deposit on 5/23. Called the original dealer back said thanks for everything, the check's canceled, just tear it up. And that was it. I followed up with a nice email thanking him but never heard back!

Congrats to everyone on the orders. I couldn't wait for the 2015 and traded my 2008 on a 2013 5.0 but still love it.

I also have to mention my dealer said he recived an email this morning from ford that said job 1 is pushed back to September. .i hope he is ill informed.

As far as the info you learned today, maybe the Ford Service rep can chime in.

Excellent, I just retweeted to @fordmustang. If anyone else has this same issue, (ordering both the Performance Package and the 50th Anniversary Package but only getting one set of wheels with no discount) they should also tweet. You know, squeaky wheel... :help:

As I said in the previous page of comments, what should I tell my dealership to do to actually place the order? They took my options, but that they cannot actually place the order yet. But so many here are reporting that they actually had an order submitted, confirmed, and acknowledged from Ford. People even have order numbers so they can track their orders online. I have no order confirmation, DORA, or anything. They said they were going to do a customer order.

Bottom line - What do I need to tell them to do in order to make sure my GT Premium is on the first production run and first shipment out here to Hawaii?

This is crazy that even the service support can't give you a straight answer. She said the picture of the dash you sent was standard on the EB4, but then threw in the in the part about contacting the dealership to determine the availability of the circular pattern. What is that reffering to? Fird, lets get that builder up so we know what we orderred :ford:

Did they give you a reason why this cannot be done? This would be the first thing I'd ask.

Do you have the option of another dealer, by any chance? Unless they have some meaningful reason, there should not be anything technically preventing someone from entering an order. Perhaps they are waiting until they understand what number of cars they have been allocated.

I made calls to 6 different dealers and went to 3 before I found one that was able to place orders. As far as I know, they have to put the orders in to the CONCEPTS (sp) system. Like you said earlier, maybe it has to do with where you are and their system isn't open yet? Not sure, but it does seem weird.

Has anyone experienced the order tracking system showing your order and then it disappearing? It wasn't there at first, then it appeared, now it's gone (and has been missing for days).

In addition to that, the order tracking website is so ridiculously slow! Just curious if anyone else is experiencing issues.

Okay, good! I was kind of freaked, thinking something was wrong with my order. A guy PM'ed me as well, because he's in the same boat as I am, where we're getting dealer allocation orders instead of traditional custom customer orders. Mine shows up as "Order Type: X" instead of 1 or 2. But, I verified with the dealership today that all is good and that I will receive mine on the first shipment they get. Well, most likely anyway. Depends on if they get their entire first allocation in one shipment or not.

Order Type: X simply means you're using X-Plan. It has nothing to do with your priority or place in line in other words. "Priority" is for that and 10-19 is regular retail orders.
