2015 Mustang Order Placed

I went to the Ford Dealer in San Jose CA. Capital Ford on Sat. They had just received a 2015 Mustang GT Premium, 6 Speed Manual, 401A, Black, PP, Raven 50 Year Appearance Package.

I sat in the car, very beautiful, very comfortable, the fit and finish was excellant. i'm 6 ft. And 200lbs. I was able to adjust all the mirrors, seat, and steering wheel just right. All of the controls were spot on and visibilty was very good.

The only item with the 50 Yr. pk. That I like is the Pony embossed in the seat back. Other than that, I don't like the corral on the grill, the faux gas cap or the illuminated door sill delete. $1,500 for a logo on the seats, with out a credit back for the wheels (PP Wheels trump). No thanks...I'll keep the $1,500 for Mod's later. Black was a nice color indoors all wiped down, but I know the up keep is high maintenance. Showed every finger smudge. Black on Black is just too HOT for California.

The 401A option with the sub- woofer in the trunk just isn't for me either. I don't thump music! The Blis system is ok, but I don't need it, haven't for 40 yrs. and don't want to depend on technology in that way. I know that when changing lanes in my $40,000 car, I going to look over my shoulder anyway so whats the point. As far as the memory seats and mirrors...I'm the only one who's ever going to drive it. No thanks...I'll keep the $1,800 for mod's later.

The Dealer of course wouldn't allow a test drive. No way No how. Unless of course you bought it. California has NO cooling off period either. The Dealer was marking up $3,000 over MSRP. The Dealer was asking over $46,000

So whats a man to do? Drove 20 miles south of San Jose to Morgan Hill, CA. To the Ford Store Dealership.

Everyone in my area should go to the Ford Store in Morgan Hill, California.

The retail order shows up in COTUS at this point. Any guesses or insights on when I can expect delivery? I know! I'm just asking.

Reasonable W.A.G. would be 8-10 weeks at this point. You will get VERY used to COTUS reporting "In Order Processing"!:clap2:

Looks like my order has hit another milestone, I have moved from 'Awaiting Shipping' to 'In Transit'. Does anybody have an educated guess how long 'In Transit' should be to Salt Lake City?

Placed my order today. Ingot Silver GT Auto, base with 3.55 gears, spare tire. X-plan price $32,736...the wait begins...maybe by Christmas!

Checked the vin # today and found out the build date as listed by Ford is 30.11.0002
The sales man said it's build date in 11/03/2104.
So my question is when is this Pony going to be built?
This the first time I have ordered a Mustang. Order sumitted 09/25/2014
So, if any can help me I would be very thankful.

If you're looking at ETIS, that is a placeholder date and probably not correct. It would appear that you are based on the format of the date, because that's how ETIS showed. Check COTUS instead as ETIS won't update until after the car has been built.

cotus.ford.com, put in either you order number + dealer number -or- VIN if you have one.

Ha you said "Probably not correct".. yes 2012 years would be a long time to be awaiting shipment! Yep it's a placeholder it always say that until it goes into production.
11/3 is the build week, the date isn't set yet, it'll be one day that week.

Well, it says 0002, so he would have received it 2012 years ago, LOL! Unless it's reversed, and is 2000, in which case he would have received it 12 years ago. I only said: "probably not correct" because 11/03 could be a legitimate build date at this point (even if the listed year is wrong).

IDK the way things are going with all the job 1 builds and QC, some people might be waiting 2000 years..
