It's a mighty fine place to be ... if you're in the front seats.

I understand your point, but if having people in the back seats is of critical importance I would imagine people would steer clear of a Mustang to begin with.

Yep........my Mustang may be a sunny day toy, but when I take her out, my wife and kids often come too

And that's the best interior of any Ford. EVER :ford:

I agree, don't like the center stack without the Nav screen. I wish they would have put the USB port inside the console armrest like today's model. I hate having to remove my mp3 player every time I park my car somewhere besides at home. The upgraded interior/center stack/toggle switches look great though.:D

No USB in the standard head unit?

Nav/GT(?):

Yak! No toggle switches either.

Looking at the vid of Jay Leno in the interior of the GT with the performance pack, the heated/cooled seats appear to be an option (they're absent from the GT with the Reacro seats), and the toggle switches are absent as well. I wonder what kind of premium just the toggle switches will carry.

I didn't want it but I'm going to have to buy the NAV. The interior looks awesome but that radio is AWFUL. It looks like something straight out of 1980.
I don't think you have to get NAV to get the large screen. I think you just need the Ford My Touch. I have that on my 13 Taurus and I have the large screen with no NAV.
I think though Ford is seriously pushing it's technology package and will make it as attractive as hell to gets us to buy it. I'm sold.

I spoke to Brand Manager Melanie Banker about this and she stated that the interior package options would be hugely simplified. I got the impression this would be an all or nothing deal…. two choices: premium or base. I am hoping this means significant cost savings and Ford being able to offer the premium trim at a price that is very hard to pass up for anybody but the most hardcore purist looking for a spartan track car.

I also got the impression that there was still a LOT that was up in the air and would depend on the feedback they get.

Looks amazing compared to the previous generations, especially in person. Are those heated AND cooled seats?

Having never even ridden in a car where the A/C seats were turned on, I'm wondering if they will be good for power/gas savings. The A/C is a power robber and using just the seats may help with fuel economy as well.

The cooled seats use little fans, it's not part of the actual A/C unit.

Good news because I wont use Nav. This wont be an out of town car and if I am around town my phone works fine.
