Mine says "window sticker". Maybe you should direct that at someone else. Lol.
No I'm directing it right at you buddy. You've filled up probably half this forum with your posts against Ford and I've had about enough.

For those who cared to know, I provided a snippet of the full picture. If that's not good enough for you, then you have my permission to waste someone else' time. I'm not going to argue with you.

Thanks, buddy. Window sticker says it got worse. We already talked about the real world. Enjoy!!

The bottom line is, based on the facts 'Sterling Archer' presented, comparing this year's sticker with last year's is pointless. There is simply no true basis for comparison with the old numbers. The mileage may very well have improved or at least stayed about the same. We simply don't know. The real world tests will reveal the truth soon enough.

Until then, I suspect this thread has reached the saturation point of productive discussion.

Yup, like Ford fanboy know how it will get heavier. Fact is, it's getting smaller and getting a more efficient engine.
That's what I'm saying...it's shifting to a new platform for the purpose of cutting weight. You're looking at the probability of the S550 getting wiped out by Chevy come next year when it comes to both power and efficiency in a vehicle that will basically match weight. Ford absolutely has to be holding out for a quick lineup refresh, the 2015 lineup is far too underwhelming to be long-term...just makes me angry with how they've planned/handled everything about this car.

I have never bought a Mustang with a V8 expecting great gas mileage. I never will. I bought it for the fun factor.

All this bickering makes me wish the new 5.0 got 6mpg.

I'd still drive around all the time with a big grin on my face, s***ting on everyone here who thinks mpg is important.

You either have a perfect life, or a terrible life, when EPA mpg gets so many of you this heated.

Life is about trade-offs. If you're buying a vehicle because it's packed full of high-performance V8 sports car goodness, then you have decided to forego the gas-sipping gentility of a hybrid economy car.

Rest assured, fuel economy is NOT worse on the S550. Ratings were lowered for other reasons.

Breathe people...

Can we be friends? I'm happy it's not just me.

Let me get this straight:
1. HP increased by 15, everyone threatened to cancel their order.
2. Torque increased by 10, everyone said it wasn't enough to overcome the apparently less efficient IRS moving the phantomly overweight new car.
3. The majority of this forum ordered the highest horsepower regular production Mustang fully contented with all the options and now everyone is shocked and disappointed that it still has MPG ratings like the previous generation, that had less content, less technology, less power.

Ummmm yeah, this is a rational group of people.

The part that I have the most trouble wrapping my head around is it's a Mustang, not a Fiesta, Focus or some other form of basic transportation. Stop claiming that mileage is a deal breaker( and no we know the car won't get 12MPG, so that argument is invalid)on a car at this level. If mileage is something that needs to be considered for you because this is your main source of transport perhaps it would be wise to revisit your priorities.

I had to search old window stickers on cars I was interested in because I have never paid any attention to them...until now.

People even pointed out other models with similar ratings but that was a stupid comparison? Really? I thought that was part of the purchase research phase of buying a vehicle.

I am surprised there is not a thread on the fact that the windshield washer bottle neck it not hidden and is in an obvious easy accessible location. I think we should start a poll to see what color the washer bottle cap should be, because hi-vis yellow clashes with my Guard Mustang so I either need to change my color to TY or cancel my order all together.

:ford: Now preparing to be called a homer once again even though I have been very clear that I'm still in love with the 1LE but 5K is 5K. - Actually that still buys a lot of gas :gossip:

You guys seriously complaining about MPG's from a V8 is outrageous to me. You all are going to be the ones that further enhance the chances of losing the V8 to better fuel your odd needs of MPG's from a 400+hp V8. You guys should just go with the EB or just cancel your orders and call it a day.

All the people that are complaining about the MHP for the V8 also complain about the ecoboost not having enough power or it being a 4cl.

Let the neigh sayers complain. It wont hurt Ford's pocketbook and it will make our orders get here faster if they cancel.

I remember me cross shopping a Audi S5 4.2 V8. It came with 350hp and only 24 mhp on the Hwy. And it would still cost more than what I am paying for my GT Premium. and it was a 2009!

Ford, keep up the good work! :hail::ford:
