Damn I mean anything is better than 15/23 and I really believe Ford is either showing PP numbers or low balling due to getting in trouble for the incorrect MPGs recently

But it does have 3.55's, although I highly doubt that is reflected in the EPA numbers. As I wouldn't think 3.55's would be in 33% or more auto's sold.

That is a serious drop for the Auto...WTF are you doing Ford?

And I don't think it has anything to do with the trouble they got in because the Fusion still has the same rated mpg's as last years model.

Maybe but it will probably get it's own EPA rating. Also, even if all LE's were auto's 1964 sold wouldn't even be close to 33% of auto's sold

With these numbers I can see them pushing to get the V8 out of the mustang sooner than we though, since they aren't caring to improve numbers on the V8

V8 auto is 16/25?

That's pretty disappointing. Heck, my 89 LX 5.0 with the OLD 5.0 was rated at 16/24. That's 26 years of progress? I was hoping for 18/27 or thereabouts. No wonder they have been sitting on these numbers. Really not sure what would make the AT so low versus 2014. The PP's 3.73 gears don't apply, and I doubt they are anticipating a 33% take rate on 3.55 gears.

On the other hand, this 16/25 is probably about the same as the 18/26 of my current car, which was rated under the old system in 2007. If that means I can expect to continue to get 22-23 on my mostly-secondary rural road commute, I won't really complain much.

The current car wasn't rated at 2007 epa regulations. One it came out in 2010. Two every car gets retested every year, not just model refreshes. And if there is a clause in there about nothing changing in the vehicle then it can carry over the mpg rating, then even in that case if EPA ratings change, vehicles get retested. Nothing has changed going from 2014 to 2015.

Btw i've tweeted Ford about their reduction in MPG's in relation to the V6 and V8 lol I'm curious to know what they'll say. Of course i'm going to get back, "We haven't officially released EPA number yet" and I will gladly point them to this thread
