2015 Mustang Backup Camera not functioning

My camera just started acting up. It was blank when I started my trip and it started working later on. Over the last few days it has been acting kind of staticky.

Is this a direct replacement or do you have to splice it in? I only ask as I am not sure.

Splice it in ,other wise you would have to replace the whole harness.

Yes thank you for this post. I was having the camera not working issue for a few weeks. It would come on sometimes then wont come on. I ordered a new camera but I decided to search the forums in detail and discovered this post. After unwrapping the electrical tape I saw 3 wires detached. I soldered them together and re taped and now the rear camera is working again. Also I fixed the trunk lid interior light as well. I changed the bulb and it wasnt working till I soldered the 3 wires together. I fixed 2 birds with one stone. LOL
