2015 Motor - Max reliable power

Curious to hear what everyone's thoughts and opinions are on the max (reliable) power level is for the 2015 motors. I was under the impression that the 15 motor is ALOT better than the 14, and closer if not better than the Boss motors... And in turn that 700rwhp on pump gas or 700rwhp+ on E85 would not be out of the question on these motor/tranny - specifically auto in my case ;)

I know reliable and higher HP don't go perfectly together but what is everyone's take on this? Assuming its respected, not super high RPM's, excessive WOT, etc...

Between 750 crank and 750 wheel horsepower. I'd keep it closer to 750 crank to be safe.

seems like most say 650-750hp, but i know there is vendor thatshas a prochrager and says they have been running over 900hp.

Boss engine is still superior with it's forged pistons, the 2015 Coyote does share the same rods. You still have weak oil pump gears and cam chain sprocket though, so upgrade those if you want to safely go over 700hp.

I've been wondering what the max safe limit is as well, but I'm only looking at "needing" 650-700 WHP. Just not sure which route to take to get there.

We supported 700rwhp with pump gas and make 838rwhp now on race fuel. No issues so far.

The key word is "so far" if you're prepared mentally and financially to build a new motor the sky is the limit if you really don't want to I think you should dial back your requirements until more time is past. There are plenty of people like Lethal who know and are prepared to build a motor let them prove it will stand up to 700 hp before you do it. I am fine with 550 rwhp or about 650 at the crank.

that is the key word "so far"

were making over 900rwhp.... running 9.5's.

how long will the car take that abuse? who knows

it really takes "years" to know what the reliability will be for the average guys

so far we have made 2 trip outings running 9's and have about 7 passes in the 9 second range.

we'll push and push and push, but everyone is wanting to go crazy out of the gate, and when motors start popping, everyone will be looking for someone to blame.

where on pump I liked the 600-630 rwhp range on pump and 675 on e85, I "think" 630-675 on pump and 700-725 on e85 is where I would feel most comfortable with customers.

And that right there is my general gut feeling based on what I've seen on the boards....I'd be thrilled with 650 WHP and would definitely spring for the pump gears and crank sprocket for peace of mind.

Just like Terry mentioned there's no guarantees. Although we're making 800+ and he's made over 900rwhp on the stock motor there's no telling when it's gonna pop.

Even at the 700rwhp range there is no guarantee. You know the saying. If you wanna play you gotta pay so be prepared.

Terry has done OPG and crank gear, I believe. Block, rods, pistons, crankshaft are all stock though.
