Thanks for the research. I'll do some digging on my end as well. Since I take full advantage of living minutes from one of the best stretches of unrestricted Autobahn in the country, any warrantied measures that will mitigate the overheating flaw are welcome...

The manager reinforced to me that he is not allowed "to turn a single screw" on an warrantied American spec Ford without permission from the US warranty office in Cologne.....

Anyway, thanks for asking.
You bet Cabellus

GT350 + Autobahn + limp mode + international corporate bureaucracy =:headbonk::shrug::rant::paddle::frusty::confused::brokenheart::censored:

Just going to address these two:

4. AFAIK, FR is basically the same as aftermarket. No different than buying a part from any other vendor. A part from them will not be covered by your new vehicle warranty any more than a part from Lethal Performance would be. That said, if you have a good relationship with a dealership and they installed the FR parts... In the past, FR has offered warranties on the parts in a kit (Power Pack, Super Pack, Handling Pack, etc...) as long as the parts were installed by a Ford service shop. Maybe they'll do the same for this kit.

5. The vehicle warranty is not being voided. If you buy the cooler kit with an external pump the transmission warranty is not being voided. Tank called and asked and was told the transmission warranty would not be voided. I know you saw it, you selectively quoted part of his post immediately afterward.
My car says Ford Performance on the door sill. I had the impression Ford and Ford Performance worked together to produce the car. I feel that the "aftermarket parts" argument for denying a warranty on a new part that is identical to a warrantied part available for a different option package of the same car is poor. FP vs. Ford seems to be a construction to avoid some legal liability or something, but ethically it seems marginal to me.

Congratz Mike, she's looking cooled...see what i did there. :)

So looks like she's stripeless. Glad you got out of that mess.

I'm so tempted to do the same, i just hate thinking how much $$$$ i'll be losing
in the trade.

While there a few pages in the catalog that list parts that are covered by a warranty, this may clarify best in the context of a few recent posts.

They weren't on the car when it was purchased, why should they be covered by the new car warranty? I don't see that as being ethically marginal.

As I said, FR does give a parts warranty (that lasts until the expiration of the car's 3 year/36,000 mile new car warranty) on the Packs they sell if they are installed at a dealership. Maybe they'll do the same with these kits. For all the disappointed tech pack buyers I certainly hope that they do.

Warranty info: https://performanceparts.ford.com/warranty/

Warranted parts list: https://performanceparts.ford.com/warranty/parts

If it were me I'd either trade for a '17 (hard to do, I know), buy one of the kits and make the best of it warranty or not (what I would most likely do), or simply sell the car and walk away.

I really do feel for you guys. I hope you all end up with a solution you can live with.

This thread is making my head hurt. After it's first track day I ordered about $1100 worth of Ford and aftermarket parts. The following Saturday I Installed the OEM Ford Cooler, Brackets, Duct and connected the RB gear pump and cooler and trans with Russel black anodised fittings and Lightweight hose. It took a full saturday. I haven't looked back. Three HPDE's roughly 4 hours of track time and it hasn't missed a beat.

The rear end cooler is next. Using OEM cooler and brackets, another RB pump and leftover -8 hose. The parts are on the way. Where are the car guys? Has the hobby gone soft.? Break out the tools! It's much more rewarding than typing on this fricken keypad.

After my experience with a dealer replacing brake rotors. I don't want them to change a light bulb. I suspect my cooling kit will be very close to fords offering. The most asked for solution here involves The parts plus 10-15 hours @ $150 per hour dealer labor.
I see no way the least expensive FR solution will be less than $2500 by the time you pull out of the dealership.

If my tranny takes a shit and Ford bails out I'll fix it myself.

People, stop b1tching. You are starting to sound like a bunch of millenials. If you want to take your car and track and it runs hot, add a cooler (that you should have bought in the first place). Done.

Have a nice day.

Hey, good for you guys, a lot of us don't have the time, knowledge, tools or space to do something like this at home. I wish I did and I would do the same thing. I also would not like to lose my warranty on my transmission if I can help it.

If you guys choose to ignore many legitimate things that have been brought up on this thread or hate reading it.........then stop reading it and responding to it. It is so easy even a millennial can figure it out.

Oh yeah and get off my lawn. :paddle:

Ordered the transmission and an adapter kit from Mike over at buyfordracingfromdpm.com. I really like Mike, he's very helpful and a no-nonsense kind of guy.

Thanks for the lead, Tob.
