Ordered the transmission and an adapter kit from Mike over at buyfordracingfromdpm.com. I really like Mike, he's very helpful and a no-nonsense kind of guy.

Thanks for the lead, Tob.

Took under a week to get the new transmission delivered to my garage.

If Ford Performance can get the parts list written up like they promised and help make stock available to the service departments, I'll be pleased with their response.

The price Epiphany posted back on page 77.

That's delivered anywhere in the continental US, no core charge.

Word is there are only a handful available. They ship directly from Ford Performance.

Edit: There is no adapter kit, that was a reference to the Johnny Cash song. And the M-7095-M8S is not yet available.

Which price?

More than $4000
The $4800
Or the $2700

Did you get any of the cooler parts, hoses, brackets?

The parts are available at the Ford parts counter. I got mine in April
Yeah, I was referring to the M-7095-M8S part that the transmission part web page calls out, which I think is everything else (hoses and heat exchanger etc.) needed for the swap.

What did the other parts cost from the parts counter? (roughly)

I'm assuming the cooler and the bracket are made of solid gold, or at least gold plated, yes? :first:
There's a bracket on the rear diff that is $500.

Not that $800 is cheep that's still more reasonable than the rear diff parts.

Well let's hope that the FP kit comes in a bit cheaper.
Well $2700 for the trans sounds better than $4800

So hopefully the other parts can get some deep discounts.

All I need to do now is figure out how to get the trans to Germany
Find someone to install it

Oh and convince my wife that I need over $3k in parts

Really I may just do the external pump kit and upgrade the trans later.

I like to disassemble things.
Rest assured, Mike at Buyfordracing will be as competitive as can be. Good to hear about the experience you guys had with him.
