Just be careful with the dremel so you don't get rubble/cutting debris in the lights
In this case, the rear lights must be completely open, so don't care about the rubble/cutting debris as you can easily clean everything once openend

Thanks for the tip Notes. As far as I can tell by looking at papinist's photos, the lights have to be cut wide open, so hopefully I will be able to remove any debris.

Anyway we will have to wait until the new version is available...

Don't think you need something else as they sell them as "LED Boards and module", do should be an all-in-one package
This is my understanding as well.

By the way, can someone suggest which dremel I should buy and remind me of the right cutting tool that I should use with the dremel to cut open the tail lights when needed? I'd like to be prepared for the job :headbonk:

John577 I guess this is how they look from the front. Are there by any chance any photos from a cut open tail light with a view from the back, so that we can see the led boards and start getting an idea on how we can remove/replace them?

Sadly I have not more pictures of the lights, It was send from a Belgium friend who's actually making his own LED Boards for the rear lights.

Just this one from the back (once removed from the light) :

This is the OEM LED boards in the US tail lights (only RED LED chips) :

^^^ John that gives a rough idea on the arrangement of the led boards in the tail light. They seem to be held in place with screws among probably other things.

Maybe you friend from Belgium can contribute to this mod by sharing photos and other info. Doesn't seem that difficult IMHO.

My God, these forums are a treasure!

Sweet, I hope they work as the Tail Light Sequencers Triple-Mode Ultimate Version so you can use the light switches to set the preferred settings.

Fantastic! Let us know John. I will definitely do this mod on my own when their new version is released. I was looking forward to something like that, didn't want to send my tail lights as well for modification. This is the reason I haven't converted my tail lights to sequential so far. Plus it costs much lower this way (unless you break somehow the lights!).
