Does anyone know what all the differences are in the 20 inch option outside of the wheels? It seems like a few of the PP chassis options are included.

From what I saw, there's only 1-18" wheel/tire combo, 5-19" wheel/tire combos and 1-20" wheel/tire combo

The 20" package comes with the upper K brace and firewall joining brace.

The lower brace is also there with the PP oil filter flap door.

Also there is foam inserted in the front section of the bumper in front of the front wheels on the 20" rim package.

Adding a strut tower brace will complete it making it the same as the PP as far as the chassis bracing.

Thanks. I did see the foam inserts between the wheel well and doors. I thought that was just something standard. The car is great with road noise.

I haven't gotten to drive a non PP or non 20" option but I have been impressed by the combination of comfort and handling in this setup. The chassis feels solid. I added the tower brace as well.

Thanks Doc, it's true you learn something new everyday. Our '18 has the 20" wheels, and I surely didn't know Ford did anything but put the rims/tires on the car. It's a Vert so it came with the strut tower brace, and I thought that was all. :)

i bought with 18" wheels and upgraded to 20" (15-17 Foundry) wheels, so I don't have the foam inserts. Is it worth getting them? What do they do?

My guess is they are there to cut road noise. I'm not sure how much of a difference it makes but I do find the car surprisingly quiet on the highway.

I'm not sure if they could be stuffed in from the wheel well or if the panel would need to come off.

They are located just by the door jam. I would guess the empty cavern bulge behind the wheel well could amplify road noise.

I think I've seen foam inserts in a few other locations too.

The 20" wheel package is a curious option to offer. It a bit handling performance, cosmetic and I guess lux all in one. The car does corner really well even with those factory all seasons.

I'm not 100% sure their function but it has something to do with the air flow around the wheel. Possibly because the 20"s are bigger the airflow out of there is actually blocked by the wheel causing negative aerodynamics.. Just my best guess though. Maybe someone else knows for sure.

I wonder if we are talking about the same inserts? What I was seeing perfectly lines up against the back side of the door jams. I don't think there should be much airflow occurring there as it's not vented from what I can tell. It fills up some of the hollow space in the front quarter panel.

My 15 came with optional 19 non PP and I have foam inserts in the fenders just in front of door hinges...

Thanks, although the foam inserts seem to be a source of much confusion in those threads as well.
No foam on my 18 Vert with the 20's
I have the bracing though, as well as a strut tower brace.

Oh you are talikng about the foam inserts to block airflow over the wheel...I remember that, was it PP cars that had blocked Ducts? My 19 in Factory non PP had open ducts....

I don't have the foam talked about in those linked threads either. There seemed to be a bit of confusion as to them just being there for shipping.
