My 2022 Mustang was shipped to Canada and somehow ended up back here in the States where I acquired it. In another window sticker thread, another member got me a copy of my window sticker, and after comparing another person's window sticker from a 2021 with same options I see that:
My 2022 PP cost $4500 compared to $6295 for a 2021.
Also, my 2022 active exhaust was $1000 compared to $895 for a 2021.
My first thought was exchange rate, but one price is lower, and the other price is higher, so that doesn't make sense.
I noticed this and it got me wondering, any thoughts on this?

They play with the numbers.
If an option is more likely to be ordered they up the pricing, if it isn't moving and they need to flush out parts they might lower the option cost.
M.y. 2020 list the Exhaust at 995.00

I remember seeing the same thing when comparing window stickers prior to purchasing mine. Different options would be priced differently, and even the base price was different depending on the configuration. As said, I think it's Ford messing with the numbers based on demand and/or profit level depending on what options are selected.

For another data point my 2022 was stickered:
AE $1225
PP1 $6700

Both of yours are lower, so could berry well have to do with exchange rate.

Don't forget inflation.

Also - "This stainless is to thick, let's thin it out next year and charge an extra hundred bucks."

This makes it even more puzzling coming from the same model year.
