Doesn't the 50 Years package come with chrome trim around the side windows as well? I think you can see it here:
That's a 50th limited edition. Kona Blue.

What gaudy-looking chrome are you talking about? The only chrome the 50th Anniversary Package adds is the taillight surrounds, which are barely noticeable.

It kind of annoys me that Ford isn't offering any chrome wheels at all this year -- I'm all about chrome wheels, and it sucks that I'll have to buy aftermarket.
Around the lights, the 50th badge in the back and the line-chrome surround around the pony on the front grill.

I just hate chrome.

I wonder if anyone will put a dot in between the five and zero on the faux gas cap? Giving the 50 5.0 duel meaning..

I had an admirer assume that I had the V8 based on the 50 Years rear badge!

Maybe that's why I've had a couple WRX's and their ilk come up from behind and try to goad me into a race on the highway.......

Do you like chrome? If so get the 50th.

Personally, I don't want a bunch of stuff saying "50th" all over my car and seats and then have some gaudy looking chrome to boot.
I'm kind of the opposite. I want everything to say 50 years. The 2016-2019 mustangs will just be mustangs. I wanted my car to be unique so in a few years it still stands out as an anniversary edition, even if it is only the appearance package.

We faced the same question for our loaded GT prem and went with the 20's, as side by side the car with the 20's just looks better. The remaining question is, how much harder (if any) is the ride on the 20's vs the 19's? Unfortunately we've not been able to drive either car as GT's around here have been almost non exsistent.

The extra chrome, badging and sectioned three quarter windows don't really make that much of a visual impact and add no funtional gains.

Those Windows are only available on limited additions. They won't be offered on the appearance package.

And likely not on the aftermarket either given the proprietary system Ford came up with for it.

IMO

I would not go for the 50th, its just not for me but don't get me wrong it looks nice.
My reasons:

- I prefer the clean looking deck lid with just the GT badging
- I prefer the chrome-less tail lights
- I'm not thrilled about the front grill - just not my style - I much prefer the roush style black bar grill
- Prefer the 20's over the 50th rims

Really, at the end of the day you can't go wrong - its just whatever makes you smile more.

Parts alone are $1600 per window.

Remember the 50th AP pack is more of a tribute pack to the 50th LE and the Birthday. Ford stated they made the AP pack so people that couldn't afford or grab an LE could still feel included in the Anniversary.

Special White (Wimbledon)
Auto with PP (along with even better rear brakes and upgraded sway bars over the regular GT PP).
Cashmere stitching and inserts on the seats/doors, etc.
Unique dash plaque with Bill Ford's signature and your car's number out of 1964.
VIN matches the car production number on the dash.

To add to your list
- lighted 50th sill plates
- LE mats
- serialized number 1 of 1964
- dash badge with serial number
- vin matches serial number
- police pack rear brakes
- louvered glass quarter windows
- LE rims with PP dimensions
- spoiler delete
- every LE is quality control checked top to bottom (normal cars are spot checked)
- 50th Ann car wrap for shipping
- two tone seats (white and black)
- leather bound owners manual
- newly discovered possible HP bump
- possible flat bed transport

I might be missing something but the AP might look like an LE but there's definitely more to it. People like to down play it.

Possible hp bump, maybe even possible different engine. Some traces of proof there but nothing solid yet.

Really like:
The auto with PP option
Bright painted rims with PP specs
Bigger rear brakes
Bigger sway bars
Extra QC is always a good thing proving the person doing it really cares
Power bump would be very nice...what are we talking here?
