So I just discovered this thread the other day I have a 22 GT 10r80, so far so good I am tuned by Lund and I sent a log in after halting adaptive learning and I can say that it absolutely cleaned up most wonky shifting I had after re learns. Lund confirmed that in the log the trans was still shifting at all their commanded shift points and pressures set in the tune. I’ve put about 400 miles on it I’m gonna log again in 500 or so more miles and send it in see if everything is still good. But so far no issues
So hows it holding up do you still have the adaptive learning off? I have a 22 also and considering turning it off I have 6k miles on mine not tuned as of right now just drives me nuts the shifts aren't consistant

Line and shift pressures have not changed.
You should soften the 1-2 & firm up the 3-4 & 4-5. Leave the last overdrive alone.

Is this possible on a 2019 GT? I have the latest Extended version of Forscan and the option isn't there to disable it. What do I need to do to enable the option?

So far I have about 800 miles on “halting” the adaptive learning for my 10 speed. Doing that with the Wengerd tune I’ve had for almost a year now. The car is such a pleasure to drive without having the harsh jerk like someone has rear ended me when using any drive mode other normal. Before the trans would have to be upto temp, but now it’s smooth even cold in all drive modes.

so basically this is an *EASY* software fix (not minimizing Wengerd's skill) that Ford could apply the world over in 5 minutes and redeem themselves... But they refuse to do so.

Anyone have Farley's itinerary and that of the head for Ford Transmission? They need to be kidnapped tortured till they agree to FIX their gd screwup.

In the meantime I hope Wengerd sells thousands of tunes.

Before I got Forscan I was at the dealer getting my free oil change and asked them to reset the adaptive learning. They said the one guy who knows how to do that was busy but he'll get to it soon, and it it takes two hours. Once I got the software it took me 10 minutes to find this thread and five seconds to make the changes.

This is some useful info, do you have a step by step on how to do this? I’m putting a Suncoast valve body and need to put the new storage code for it but have no clue how to do this
Let us know how you like it and how it differs from stock

Just a suggestion, turn the adaptive learning back on before you go to the dealer (if you’re going to the dealer and are still under warranty). Don’t give them a reason to try ti deny something that might be covered under warranty
Wont matter. They'll know you were in there by the key counts. Every time you change something it resets. IDS can see it.

Forescan does not erase key counts, unless you reset the PCM.

At least this is what I've been told.

Hopefully someone can confirm as this is pretty important to those with a warranty (unlike me).

I can t even get forscan to work with my car. I can connect, see everything but as soon as I try to make a change it faults out even with a J2534 cable

I think you need to tell ForScan to prefix the commands it issues with ',eh'

The Forscan guys should be able to supply a patch. Just make sure they don't flash it to speak French.

I sent a note them a few weeks ago about it. Got nothing. Maybe it's a Russian/Nato thing

Haha or just crappy service like the three weeks and 6 emails sent it took Steeda to tell me they don't have any air filter test results on their proflow kits as if I'm going to risk a $12K+ engine for a filter haha.

Maybe try one of the tuners instead....I personally would not mess around in Forscan myself on the trans....too expensive if get it wrong.
