'19 Rear Decklid

Odd question, my 17 rear decklid was plastic, and we all know how easily it scratches. I bought a 19 last week. It looks like the rear decklid is painted black as I can see some orange peeling. Can anyone confirm that they started painting them?

My 2019 is definitely not painted. Zero orange peel. Scratches if a fly so much as farts on it.
Maybe yours got damaged at the dealer and they painted it? Can you post a pic?

Glossy black plastic here as well. Yours should be the same..

Molded black plastic and the 2018+ scratch if you look at them funny.... so bad that Ford even created a TSB due to the complaints.

So I guess this will be a on going problem - maybe I should have bought a Camero - woo that's a gross idea.

The 2013/14 had the same plastic. The issue with those was peeling.
