Guys I just got my FRPP rear decklid and accidentally installed the camera upside down. I didn't realize this until I tried to reverse.

I've tried taking the panel off but it's literally stuck, right in the middle where the camera is. I've tried pulling the shit out of it since prying won't work, but it looks like the camera may break off or something.

Anyone run into this situation? Installed it in 3 minutes and now I'm going through hell trying to get it back off.

Try going through (fold down) the back seat with a flashlight and get a look

I think he's talking about the rear panel on the deck lid. He also has a convertible. No crawling through on this one!
Edit: Or do they?? I'm assuming the convertibles don't have fold down seat backs. I've got my old '95 stuck in my head.

I had a 2013 convertible and the back seats don't fold down. Not sure if that carried over to the Gen. 6

Verts have the folding mech, motors, and enclosed compartment between the back seat and trunk so yeah, no access.

Unless Ford changed the design of how their verts work which I doubt.

Well, I got the camera fixed so now I don't care if the decklid is stuck now lol.

I pulled off the cover under the trunk lid and had direct access to the camera. Went bought a 5.5m socket to take the camera screws out. Pictures attached.

Thanks guys.

Glad it worked out! When I removed my OEM to change it for a V6 panel form newtakeoff, I swear I thought I was gonna break the thing in the middle. I ran a tape line on the trunk lid right above it and used a plastic pry tool to remove it.

Thanks a lot guys. It was a pain in the ass and thankfully I was able to access the camera from underneath. Otherwise, I'm 99% sure that decklid would have broken with the amount of force that was required.

I noticed that putting the decklid on was a LOT more difficult than it was putting the stock one back on, but I wouldn't have thought that it would be because the camera was upside down.

picture of lethal decklid?
Meant to say FRPP rear decklid from Lethal. Just now noticing that :)

You trunk lid is aligned as bad a mine.

Yeah. I noticed the decklid panel was also a little difficult to screw in on the left side because it didn't line up perfectly. Not sure what's up with that but everything else looks good.

look at the trunk lid where it meets the quarter panels. That looks good. The left tail light assembly looks low to me. Trunk lid against the bumper looks almost level from what I see.
