Back story....

Bought a brand new GT the end of April when I moved to CA. I have put 6000 miles on it since then.
Base Stick Shift w/Active Exhaust

I have installed-
Strut tower brace
Steeda Clutch Spring
Eibach Sportline Lowering Springs
MM Camber Plates
H pipe
PMAS Intake (tune required)

Got a base 91 Tune to start logging. (From a well respected Coyote Tuner)
At this point i had put 4000 miles on it.
And this is when the issues started....

Active exhaust started throwing a warning and car would go limp. Loss of throttle response.
No check engine light. Just the stupid Wrench
Advancedtrac starting throwing warning and wrench pops up.
If I turn car off for a few minutes then they go away and car is fine.

I have the SCT so I scan for codes....
P0100- Mass or Volume Air Flow Sensor A Circuit
P1888- Differential Oil Temp Sensor Circuit Failure
P188A- Differential Oil Temp Too High/Low

So I take off intake and put back stock intake and STOCK TUNE.

Drove it for a week. Put 500 miles on it. Ripped it.
NO ISSUES. NO CODES.

After the week.... I put intake back on. Triple checked everything.
Put intake back on
Reset KAM
Crank Relearn

Right after that.... without even driving it... I scanned for codes to see...
P1888 Popped up!

And now on wed... 3 days later, driving to work... Wrench pops up.
I scan for codes and all 3 codes are back.

Tuner says IT IS NOT A TUNE ISSUE. Very blatantly.

But wtf is the issue if I had no problems with stock tune?
PMAS intake would not affect differential??

And how did the differential codes pop up if I didnt even drive it before I scanned after reinstalling custom tune?

Im thinking maybe an ECU connectivity issue with the custom tune?

Any ideas?

sounds pretty much like a tune related issue, if it works fine on the stock tune then only has issues with the aftermarket tune that's pretty much your only option

AED.

I emailed a few times asking him to double check everything and each time he replies is...

THIS IS NOT A TUNE ISSUE.

I did my research before going with his tuning and he didnt have a lot of complaints.

But my end goal was an E85 tune and I cant get even 91 tune finished due to these issues (and that stupid false knock I cant find)

I can't speak to any other tuners however I have had 2 Lund tunes on 2 different cars and they run flawlessly.

Coming from previous 400whp turbo 4 bangers... Im still getting used to this big rumbling beast. Just wish I could get these bugs ironed out.

Its a tune issue, go to someone else who knows what they are doing.

AED is a very well known highly respected tuner in the coyote world. I have heard nothing but great things about them. I hope you figure it out OP.

I did my research before picking a tuner and yes, he has a good reputation and is well known for coyotes. Im sure this isnt the the norm, but I have had nothing but issues when I put on the initial tune he gave me.

Put it back to stock tune and NOT A SINGLE problem.

And he refuses to even triple check the tune to make sure there isnt a glitch anywhere.

So I have to move on or Ill never get it resolved.

First off your car looks awesome. Love the orange roof and mirror caps.
Here’s my question. If AED is insistent it’s not their tune what explanation are they giving you for these issues? What do the logs say? They have to acknowledge the the basic issue of the car running fine without the tune.

Have AED ensure they didn't send you a tune for a PP car since your is a base model. Also ask him to write you a tune for 91 without the PMAS to rule that out. My hunch is he wrote you a tune for a PP car and not a base. I've heard of a few other people having similar issues with other tuners making the first file for a PP car and not a base car. Would explain why he says its not a tune issue, but your only having issues with the tune loaded.

He did say he made the tune for EMS strategy for PP car. Then I gave him my EMS Strategy # and he says they are compatible. I dont see how they are compatible. Completely different electronics.

Then he made me double check I dont have PP car. I dont. I sent him window sticker to prove.

But he hasnt given me any other possibilities of what the issue could be.

For the above poster... I asked him to do and 91 tune without PMAS and he said there would be no point.
I think there would be a point. If I put that tune on and issues pop up... then I def know its a tune issue.

Thanks man! Just had those wrapped 2 weeks ago. Im digging it.

Logs look good except for 6 degrees of false knock at WOT in 3rd. Still hunting that down.

But they dont show any issues while doing pulls.

Issues usually pop up while Im driving it like a baby. Light to light or sitting at idle is when problems occur.
