I mean yeah it shouldn’t be blasphemy for real car enthusiasts to understand and acknowledge that cars can have different wheel sizes, I just worded it like that mostly because when you ask an average mustang owner what wheel size they’d prefer the majority will say: “20’s” some maybe 19’s but when you bring up 18’s they look at you like it’s taboo or something lol, they’ll think that or either they’ll think you’re just stock and got no interest in what’s popular among said topic…. I probably just should’ve been blunt and asked for a gallery of Mustangs running 18’s somewhere in that post lol
That's interesting - I think people who put 20's on a Mustang must not do anything fun with their cars and probably just drive the speed limit and park at car shows.

Bigger and heavier - there is no beneficial reason to put 20's on other than subjective aesthetics (but I think it looks worse).

I have 18" stock wheels on my 2016 EcoBoost premium get all kinds of compliments at the car shows about these wheels.
Running General GMAX tires.

I went with 18" wheels for more sidewall (bad roads here).

I’m liking these alot, wheel design is *chefs kiss*…perfect amount of rim and tire not too much to either side and exactly why I too have been considering switching to 18’s I need more sidewall as well since the roads over here are awful too

You hit the nail on the head, (coming from someone who run’s 20s) but I guess you could blame it on demographics…. for example where I’m from you could say us young guys in Cali (18-23) in the past years have been “corny” in mods for a lack of a better term, as long as you had 20’s and a Corsa Extreme on a Mustang you’re set… but as I get older I realize that they’re is also a demographic of actual mustang enthusiasts who I see and actually put time and passion into building a proper functioning mustang, hence maturity.

I love the look :) - one thing to be aware of for 18" rims- there aren't as many tire choices as there were in 2018. I was running 285/40's (27" od) Michelin Pilot Sport all seasons, but almost the only thing I can find now in 18"/27" are summer performance tires.

18's are optimal for performance. i considered getting them but the 19's just look a bit more right on the street.

That's fair. When I was that age, I was in the "low and slow" crowd going to car shows and meets.
Now, if I see an otherwise sporty car (GTR for example) slammed to the ground on airbags, it makes me want to puke. The manufacturers didn't design the car with 600hp so someone could put along at 10mph in a parking lot.

Don't get offended but who would compliment someone on skinny stock wheels?
Completely agree. Don't mean to ruffle any feathers but I don't understand people who 'show off' their bone-stock cars. "So you bought it and washed it....why am I looking at this?"
