16 Mustang Ecoboost CEL

Earlier I was driving my car and I noticed a CEL had came on. I instantly went and got the code read and it was a PO243 code. My car is completely stock so I’m not quite sure why it’s throwing an overboost code. Anyways I plan on taking it to get fixed within a week, but how safe is that code to drive with, will it cause any damage?

don't go into full boost... you may be running lean or the wastegate may have issues... getting stuck or something.

Could be waste gate or bypass valve issues. Check the vacuum lines.
Also, check the vacuum lines on the vacuum distribution block just under the turbo inlet
