First impression is that the exhaust looks good. The majority of the welds are solid. There are a few pinholes in certain areas but overall good welds.
The slip fit connector that is welded onto the downpipe itself could be a little straighter. Ill see if that bites me in the butt later. The flange on the top that bolts to the turbo is very thick. It has a few rough edges on it buy this should not have any bearing on its installation.

The lower piece has good quality welds and exhaust hanger tacked to it. It does seem to be a very solid piece. Like i said, all of these things mean nothing if the installation is a nightmare.

Well it went on with only one small hitch. The bracket that I removed from the catalytic converter that slides over the two studs didn't want to fit on the new exhaust because the studs were not completely parallel. They were just slightly wider at top than the bottom.Very easy fix. I simply started the nuts on the two studs(to protect the threads) and gave it a few squeezes with channel locks and the bracket slipped right over it. I just went out and put 10 miles on it. No leaks. Will check for any loose hardware tomorrow after it goes thru a few heat cycles. It might be in my head but on start up it sounds a very small amount throatier. Ill get some more installed pics later. Fitment seems as good as you are probably going to get.
Also snapped a couple pics of air temps going in and coming out of the ETS intercooler. Ill report back more as time goes on but for now I am a satisfied owner of the $139 Ebay Downpipe.

Really? Is that all the people on this site do is take pot shots at every thread? :thumbsdown:For your info,i had a corporation in Iowa(not ohio like some other jag said) called 1320INC. It owned the website modular.misfits.com that was a Ford modular drag racing website. No affiliation at all.

I took a chance on a part, posted my honest opinion and this is the first reply. You should go spend $500 on a downpipe, my review is probably biased.:curse: .

This was a 2X speed pipe Mr. Helpy Helpinton. Dont know anything about a 1320 pipe.

Oh and before another braintrust replies im also a LIAR. IT WAS $139.99, NOT $139 like the title says.

Thanks! I just thought a few people might be looking but afraid to pull the trigger. Figured people could read it and make their own decision.
So what did you get for xmas? A guy i work with said " i got a pair of socks, a shirt and a piece of a$$ and they were all 2 sizes too big".:cwl:

good review. Just sold my DP and was on the fence of selling the car in general. But might keep it so I was just looking at this DP. might pull the trigger on it. I was just never a huge fan of slip fit connectors but for that price who the hell cares lol.

Put about 100 miles on it today. Going back up on the lift tomorrow to check all the hardware. Ill snap some installed pics. So far it seems to be ok. I feel like i am hearing more turbo noise or exhaust up from the engine bay than usual. Not sure if the cat muffled it before or what.

Yeah, one of the few performance part "safe bets" from FleaBay.
It's a pipe, it has bends, they weld.

That being said, I think I'd DEI Thermal Wrap that, just to hide it... :)

Scored a used KRONA Catted pipe locally, GREAT MOD.
Top of the list (if catted).

Got the catless Ebay DP with a flex joint and good welds. Good as any.

Everything was still tight today. Loaded my new tune onto the car and went idle to about 5900-6300 gears 1-4 today...so it got a nice heat cycle. Its is a great bargain. Would buy it again if i needed one.

My exhaust is all stock besides the downpipe..its still quiet. Just a really small rumble on start up but it goes away when car warms up. Not even a hint of rice.:like:
