They werent all faulty. There were some that were sent out with the wrong hose. Mine was not one of them.
And as a follow up, whipple is sending me a new hose. Im hoping me bringing it to their attention helps others.
Well I just got done with my Gen 5 install on my 16 and I was less than impressed with the instructions. They have made several upgrades to the kit (idler plate, IC pump bracket to name a couple) but they havent updated the instructions, hoses and hardware. So you are either looking thru your...
Mine shipped last Friday and arrived on Monday. Can't say enough good things about Jared and Nick at lethal they really help me through this process. Hopefully it was worth the wait.
Im not mad at anyone, but when I order something and am told 4-6 weeks. I expect it in 4 -6 weeks. If it was gonna take 3 months, then tell me 3 months. If its gonna be a year, tell me a year. Thats a small expectation I believe.
Whipple is full of shit, today is 12 weeks Ive been waiting( ordered May 25th) Mine is shipping today and Jared/Nick at Lethal have done everything they can to get it here. If its gonna take 3 months to manufacture, then they need to tell their distributors that.
I know the Gen 5 is a great blower but im at almost 3 months now(next friday). I was told 4-6 weeks. Just kinda sucks. Been waiting all summer. Hope all you guys get yours soon.
ABS codes will not show up on anything but Ford software. Id make sure everything went back together correct. Or you could have the other side went out just by a weird coincidence.
The washer has zero to do with the ABS system. The ABS is all housed in the rear wheel bearing assembly. Once i changed out the wheel bearing assembly my cruise and everything worked fine. No i didnt put the thrust washer back on.
Every gear that meshes together from where the input shaft goes all the way back to the differential there's going to be a little bit of play in every one of those. so by the time you get to the rear end of the car all of that play is going to be exemplified. Maybe I misread your post it sounded...
The only reason I ask is because a lot of people do not know how to set the pinion depth or they don't have the right tools. you have to lie a lot of adapters to go from a inch pound torque wrench all the way up to three quarter inch drive for the pinion nut. Even if the backlash (which is the...
That rings sole purpose in life is to keep the knuckle from seizing onto the abs hub..thats it. Otherwise you destroy the hub removing it with anything other than the proper tools
Did you put in new pinion bearing? Sounds like it could be not enough preload on pinion bearings. If there is any noise prior to engagement then you are hearing the pinion teeth and the ring teeth smacking together.
Thought about removing the mufflers and fabbing up a pipe where they were. Connect said pipe back up to the tips and selling it as a "axle back" straight pipe exhaust for cheap. Would sound better at a fraction of the cost of a cat back exhaust.
No its just the stainless tips. Also id like to add that EVERYTHING on this kit is stainless, even the hangers.
As stated above its not "tinny" sounding like some kits make our cars sound. It has a deep note and then a " holy $hut" sound when you mat the gas.
I installed the Borla Atak Cat Back today. I just wanted to share my results. I was very impressed by the quality of the kit and the hardware. It fit on my 2015 like a glove and the sound is pretty rowdy at cold start up and when you hammer on the go pedal. The price is a little on the high side...
It just sort of sits in the block. I wouldn't push it too hard because I felt like it could be pushed right through pretty easily. The block is machine to keep it from being pushed through but once you have one of these in your hand you feel how pliable they are
