I ran Amsoil 10W-30 in my 2011 GT based on my oil analysis reports and the same reports shared in Troy's (Unleashed Beast) thread on SVT Performance. In that thread Troy found Amsoil 5W-20 to hold up just as well as the 10W-30 and started recommending that weight. My first oil change I did on the 2015 I used Amsoil 5W-20 and haven't decided yet if I will deviate from that weight.
Remember in the 2011-2014 cars all the 5.0's had the same engines. Track Pack and non Track Pack cars. All non Track Pack cars called for 5W-20 and Track Pack cars called for 5W-50. The 5W-50 was based on intended usage although most didn't actually track their cars. My point? Sticking to the recommended 5W-20 isn't necessary. It comes down to how the car is going to be used and ones climate as well.
