I find it humorous that I ask how to get the transmission up to temperature. I get people telling me how the dealership is a better option because they will stand behind their incompetence, others telling me if it ain't broke don't fix it.

Usually, you should hit 190 degrees after 10-25 min of normal driving. If you don't, you probably have a stuck-open thermal bypass valve or a bad thermostat in the transmission cooling circuit, or a failing transmission fluid temperature sensor. Usually is the first. I've had this issue since I bought my 2018 6 years ago...

Fastest way to get trans up to temperature is to apply the brake and a little throttle. It will warm up fast

Just drive it in normal traffic in winter mode. This mode will allow the thanks to slip more then in normal or sport mode and thus create more heat.

I have been shopping for a place a reasonable distance from me for a year. Everyone looks at me like I am nuts when I ask them if they check the fluid with the car running and the trans temp at 200 degrees (even my local Ford dealership). This place is the best I've found, but I am still not convinced they will spend the time to get it to the proper temp. I'm all ears if you know of a place near dexter MI. I am driving to Livonis for the shop I found.

I had my local Ford dealer check mine. I delivered it to them fully up to temp and had them immediately check the level.
No issues at all doing it that way. And no charge, either. The dealership is in Vicksburg, MI, but that's quite a distance from you.
