What are you guys getting for trans temps? Drove my car home for the first time yesterday after purchasing the car and when I looked at the trans temp it was 201!
Might have been 50* outside max. Not heavy traffic. Home from the dealer is maybe 4mi. I was in Sport mode but never went above half throttle. Had a 2013 GT before this with a 6R80. Never saw it that high. Might have saw 190* once and that was a 100+ day heavy traffic and that car was tuned. Noticed today that I never saw it get above 180*. Wondering if anyone else has seen this and is it normal.

Mine usually hangs around 170's when warmed up. Usually stays around 140's when I am on the 15 minute highway commute to the office at around 50-60 degrees outside. Even with some aggressive driving tuned, and in sport I have never been in the 200's

If you were in Sport mode than this temp is acceptable. However, for my 2018 GT with 3.55 rear needs a few more minutes to get up to that temp when driving hard. I would say since the trans is new, give it a couple of hundred miles to settle in. These temps are probably higher than they will be once your transmission has settled in properly.

I would keep an eye on it, but I am not saying it's a bad thing at all because I just don't know. I usually try to keep an eye on my A/F Ratio, trans temp, and vacuum just to make sure everything looks like it usually does. I don't think low 200's is bad though, and it is brand new as well. I have 7k on mine, and I wish I could tell you what my temps were reading when I first bought it brand new, but I have no clue...

My 2019 PP1 10R80 at most was sitting at 194 degrees. Yesterday, 96 degrees outside, humidity sky rocketing, it went up to 201 degrees sitting in traffic. When I finally was able to get cruising again, dropped to 186 degrees 3 miles down the road. 201 got my attention to! I did some research online and I found that in the F150 equipped with the 10R80, normal operating temp is rated at 206-215. So, I think us Mustang GT drivers are ok.... Keep in mind where you live guys. Im in Florida and the outside heat can be brutal. high humidity, high ambient temp, heat soak, etc.. is all in play.

I think 211-213 is the highest I have ever seen. Multiple back to back pulls.
