When coming to a stop or starting from a stop, I have noticed a strange almost grind like noise coming from the car only on the 1st - 2nd shift. I contacted the dealer, because the car like to be jumpy in lower gears and when coasting to a stop, but they are months behind. I recorded this noise, and I wanted to get your opinions on whether its normal or not. Maybe some fellow 10r80 owners can confirm if their car makes this noise or not. I can duplicate by simply shifting from 1st to 2nd with the paddle shifters.

Thank you for your time.

Mine does the same thing...
But I do not know if that's a problem or not because my transmission has other issues . Hash downshifts.

I have the same issue with harsh downshifts, mostly when coming to a stop or after braking and trying to take off again. I did however discover that I think the 1-2 shift noise is normal. My brothers raptor equipped with the 10 speed makes the same noise.

In a nutshell this can be normal 10r80 noises. The fluid pump is offset from the mainshaft and is driven through a set of straight cut gears.
