Ps you have to go into the very high model range where the transmission is standard. But we are talking $50,000 plus King Ranch, Platinum and Limitrd

You can get it on the $34,000 XLT. Just equip the 3.5EB and it becomes standard.

That cost premium will drop substantially when it's standard across all but the base engine on the F-150.

It's more fuel efficient because it can be in the correct gear position more often with more gears. It's like a ghetto CVT.

Its just the way things are now. Vehicles in general keep getting heavier (I know the F150 just lost some weight) and still need to be faster all while getting better MPG and meet emissions. They can't cheat physics. Its the way Big Rigs have been doin it for decades.

They won't leave the GT out, especially for Auto drivers. It will be an option to add on.

The standard Camaros are keeping the 8-speed ZF unit, for now at least.

Wonder if Ford will do an actual dual gate shifter with the 10sp. Having paddles only is old school, even with the S550.
