10.06 @138! But something fishy with trans

Just ran my local test and tune. Managed a
1.54 60 foot
6.60 1/8th
10.06 1/4 mile at 138

not bad for driving an hour andno experience. Got three passes before thecheck engine light came on.

P2705 and 2708. No idea what is up but it doesn’t move many of the times you put it in drive and hit the throttle. If I rev it high, it bucks and then starts moving some.

anyone had this issue?

Your intermediate shaft is getting ready to let go. Replace it with a hardened shaft. And install upgraded clutches while you have it apart. It’ll cost between 2500-3k when it finally breaks.

Didn’t know anyone made an intermediate shaft but clutches have already been upgraded.

I used this one when my 6r80 broke. I’m sure this company makes one for the 10 speed. I would hope they do anyway.. I was in the exact same position as you. I ran a 10.02.@138. But I only had the first three gears available to drive home. I was lucky most people need a tow truck.

Those codes are trans related. probably gonna need a build. One is a failure of friction elements and the other shift solenoid stuck ON.

yeah this is a brand new rebuild. Less than 1k miles. Had upgraded clutches and new valve body put in.

I’m at 840-860 horsepower. Estimating because I was at 930 but changed pulleys to a bigger one. Didn’t want to get kicked off the track.

Paramount speed did the build. I’m going to rarefab in two weeks for them to rebuild and do a cooling mod. Basically was told don’t go over 150 degrees ever but prefer around 130.

PBD tuned it remotely. I may have rob look at it in person since they are semi local.

Previous owner had paramount build it. Since I’m not near them anymore or the one who paid them, I’m going to hope rarefab can make it all better and give me a solid starting point.
