Pulling away from a light the other day I fell a 'thud' from the rear that fell like something rolling in the trunk against the rear. Since I did had a bunch of stuff in there I didn't think much of it. Today, I went out after having removed everything and the 'thud' was still there. Cue heart sinking...
One of the bolts on the front side of the rear diff has sheared off. Hopefully there is enough left to weld on a nut and back it out.
I don't drag race, I don't launch hard... It's just fatigue.
Big thanks to Kelly ([MENTION=9985]BMR Tech[/MENTION]) for offering up a replacement bolt. While it's 'just a bolt' I suspect it would be a hassle to get from Ford.
