FORD ISSUES SAFETY RECALL FOR CERTAIN 2015 MUSTANG VEHICLES IN NORTH AMERICA FOR FUEL PRESSURE SENSOR ISSUE

Ford is issuing a safety recall for approximately 730 2015 Ford Mustang vehicles in North America (actual 728) for a potential fuel line leak. A fuel pressure sensor, which is part of the fuel supply tube assembly, may have been installed incorrectly, potentially resulting in a pressurized fuel leak. A fuel leak in the presence of an ignition source may result in a fire.

Ford is not aware of any fires, accidents or injuries related to this condition.

Affected vehicles include certain 2015 Ford Mustangs equipped with 2.3-liter engines built at Flat Rock Assembly Plant, Sept. 25, 2014 to Oct. 9, 2014. Ford is aware of 712 vehicles in the United States and federalized territories and 16 in Canada. These totals are as of Dec. 3, 2014.

Dealers will replace the fuel supply tube assembly at no cost to the customer.

Ecoboost Recall

I am not an EB owner, but a friend of mine told me that the EB cars are getting recalled, so I went on the internet, and found this:

"The affected vehicles are those 2015 Mustang EcoBoost models, i.e. cars equipped with the turbocharged 2.3-liter four-cylinder engine, built from September 25, 2014 through to October 9, 2014. The Ford Motor Company [NYSE:F] is aware of 712 examples in the U.S. and 16 in Canada, as of this week.

According to the automaker, the fuel pressure sensor on the affected vehicles may have been installed incorrectly. This could result in a pressurized fuel leak, which in turn could cause a fire.

So far there haven’t been any reported cases of a fire or any accident or injury related to this particular issue.

Ford is in the process of contacting owners of the affected vehicles, who will be able to have a dealer rectify the issue free of charge. Anyone concerned can contact Ford at 1-866-436-7332."

Recall for Ecoboost cars.

Ford is voluntarily recalling 2015 Mustangs with the 2.3L EcoBoost due to fuel sensors that may have been installed incorrectly. If not corrected these sensors could lead to a pressurized fuel leak and possible engine fire.

Only 728 EcoBoost Mustangs built between Sept. 25, 2014 and Oct. 9, 2014 are affected by the recall. Ford is unaware of any accidents or injures that have occurred due to the improperly installed fuel sensors.

My hat is off to Ford for owning up to this in a hurry.

Where do you find the date of production?
Inside the driver side door along the frame of the car. Next to the tire pressure sticker. There is a sticker with all of the info relating to your car. One of those pieces of info will be final assembly date.

Mine was already in for service on the shitty brembo brakes so they checked and sure enough Im part of the recall. Parts have been ordered and lucky me, I get to keep the Edge loaner until they come in.

Hopefully I will get lucky and it will just catch fire and burn down to the ground before the parts arrive (joking....kinda).

You do know the EB PP are Not Brembos....they are standard GT brakes.

Aren't the standard GT brakes 4-pot now and pretty much the Ford version of the Brembo package ordered on the 2011 - 2014 Mustang GT?

Another way to check is simply login to the Ford Owners website and check for a recall there.

Oct 3 is my assembly date, so i guess my car is one of the ones in that bad batch, called the people at the recall center at ford and i highly doubt their actual customer service reps are aware of the issue as they told me the hadnt heard of a recall but would give me call if they heard of one. guess its not safe to drive for the moment?

yeah i logged in as well to check and also no recalls on my car. i guess its gonna take awhile to be posted.
