It's finally here! I'm not big on naming cars, but as of right now, her name is Green Machine. I picked her up yesterday, and she's fantastic! Today, I drove her over 250 miles around Mt. Rainier and Flaming Geyser Park, and everything was pretty much perfect. The 1-2 shift is still a bit rusty, but I think a higher RPM from first works a bit better. The 5-6 shift is also a bit of a reach, but hopefully that will get better or not be much of an issue. But overall the gearbox is superb. It's the most comfortable manual I've ever driven, as it's torquey enough to be able to ride 1st and 2nd, pretty much throttle-off, in traffic. In fact, all gears besides 6 seems to have plenty of pull. 6 is a lame duck at anything below 55mph. I'm also not a huge fan of the hand-brake position relative to my driving position, but oh well.

As for driving dynamics: Holy Cow. She's poised, confident, and I got the biggest giggle out of powering out of a turn in 3rd gear. I just want to do that over, and over, and over again. "What's Evildronepilot doin'?" "Well, he's just taking the same on-ramps and off-ramps over, and over again. He does that." I have the COBB acccessport, but I'm doubting even using it. I'm seriously comfortable with the power that this thing has. Again, I've never had a car with this much power before, but damn, it's nice.

And the sound! I wish it was louder, but I do really enjoy it. It's fun just to ring out 2nd gear a bit longer in traffic.

I'm crazy tired, but I'll write more later! Here's some pics!

But I can't see any green on the pictures. Is the color GUARD? If so, how does it looks like in person?

I also ordered mine in Guard weeks before seeing one in person. Yes it is Guard and every camera captures it differently. Find a dealer with one in stock and go see it. It is green, but depending on the light can look black, gray, or even a weird shade of blue/gray.

Yeah, it's definitely Guard. These were photos shot with a Nikon D7100, and then compressed with Aperture for. And yes, all cameras shoot a bit differently, but it seems that Guard is one o those colors that just doesn't want to behave for a camera sensor.

And I think that's because it doesn't "behave" well in light, either! Sometimes it's dark, sometimes it's light. I also thought I was the only one who sees a bit of blue in it, too. It really is a unique, and in my opinion, a fantastic color.
