Ive been thinking a LOT about the color

So I love the Liquid Blue GT350 they showed us. We all know we are not getting it. So which color to go with? Well first I thought what was it about that blue made it so great. Im a graphic designer so i think about stuff like this all the time, but basically for me its the value of the liquid blue that makes it so rich, i like the contrast with the black accents. That lead me to do a value study with the images i could find online of the car.

Magnetic is the closest color value to that liquid blue we all love. That is the color i am going with. Black is too dark, just like DIB. white, avalanche and yellow are basically white. orange and red are good second choices i think. but for that same tone of the liquid blue...Magnetic.

I'm also a graphic designer / Art Director. If I get the base gt350 I'll go with blue with white stripes (I hate the red accents that make the blue look like a flag). If I get the GT350R I'll go with black with black stripes.

Color affects different people different ways, such as a visual learner (myself) versus an audio learner or a kinesthetic learner. Luminosity may be affecting your choice, but color also has psychological reasoning behind the choices. https://www.psychologytoday.com/blog/digital-leaders/201106/what-does-the-color-you-choose-say-about-you

Good luck! I personally think Ford has screwed the pooch when making their color combos. They seem to be not looking at their target markets and using the data that is out there when choosing their color combos.

I mean the refrigerator industry (for example) invented new shades of colors to bring greater turnover because their product was working just fine and their customer base diminished. Later they had to put in low quality parts in their products to justify to customers that they needed a newer product. The car industry copied this also.

Yes color choice is just one thing, but it does effect a small percentage of buyers. Visual ques are another. I won't get a base GT because it is too boring and I didn't get the new C7 Z06 after I sold my C6 Z07 because I hated the tail lights.

To some it is all about performance - which I like, but I'm spending my money based on my personal style.

Again color reflects all this and more psychologically and we are all very different.
