Doh, I missed out on the discount.
I just fitted an HSB 075 which worked great. Took me 30 minutes as I didn't realise it has spacers attached that have to be removed to get the clamp to fit.
Thanks for all the pointers. Iāve figured it out now.
When I looked at batteries 3 years ago, Halfords recommended HSB 013 which was too tall (190mm). They are now recommending HSB 075 which is correct at 175mm.

Hi,
I need a new battery and tried the Yuasa recommended by Halfords, but itās too tall and the battery cover wonāt fit neatly.
Can anyone recommend a good quality battery with high amp hours that will fit?
Cheers

That makes sense but I just want a small adjustment on the front e.g. 10 -15mm max. I'm not into the 'tight to the wheel arch' look which is all the rage. But it seems like you can either go for a very thin spacer (say 5mm) with the original studs or use the bolt on type at 25mm+. Between the...
Hi guys,
I'd be grateful for some advice.
I have the Eibach Pro-kit lowering springs on my car and I love the stance. I often get favorable comments.
I don't currently run spacers and I'm not a fan of getting the tyres really tight in the wheel arches. I know it's a very popular look in the...
Congratulations! Similar experience to my own. Stayed determined but respectful and built a good relationship with my nominated Customer Services person. Also didn't have the stamp but invoice did mention bodywork inspected, which was good enough.
Hi guys,
Dumb question, but how do you know the Oil Cooler has gone e.g noise, dash oil pressure light, loss of power? I presume you need to come to a stop instantly.
I'm booked in to get it replaced as a precaution but you never know...

My experience was about 10 weeks from beginning to end. Once the car went in for inspection, Ford customer services called the bodyshop and me twice a week for progress updates. One thing to understand is Ford Customer Services and Ford Warranty Department do not talk to each other! (crazy...
For anyone in the South East, I recommend Auto Technics of Maidenhead. They are Ford approved, have manged several claims related to Mustang galvanic corrosion and will fight your corner once they confirm you have a genuine case that can't be fixed with a repair. Their quality is brilliant and...
I think that's the wrong TSB. I quoted TSB 19-2026. Google it and you can download the PDF. I would tell them "The issue of galvanic corrosion is clearly recognised by Ford in the US under TSB 19-2026 and as our car came from the same production line in Flat Rock, it is reasonable to expect...
Iām not convinced the facelift is any better. Itās happened since the s197 model. But itās not all cars. Probably something under 25% so just check your purchase carefully around the bonnet and wing front edges. If itās an earlier car, it probably would have started now if itās going to...
You should ring Ford Customer Services for a list of approved Body Shops in your area (some will be Ford dealers, other's won't). If you go to a bodyshop, they want the work, so will make your case. For them, pushing back would be turning away work! Talk to the bodyshop manager and check he...
Getting back to the original post, I had this corrosion on my bonnet in December. Complained to customer services and kept on their tail until February when they paid for a new bonnet to be installed. I was always polite but very firm and made sure I had all my facts including quoting the US...
Having just fitted a new steering wheel, Iām after a pair of aluminum paddle extenders. The ones I want are much shorter than the āpointedā ones on the market. They are basically the same shape as stock but extend the paddles an inch or so top and bottom.
The thing is, I canāt remember...
2017 GT Auto with Power Pack 2 using Shell V-Power (99 octane U.K. Spec) I get 32MPG on a 102 mile mostly motorway trip in D Mode with a light foot. If pushing it much harder on the same trip in S Mode, it drops to 26 MPG. The Power Pack increased the performance significantly but only dropped...
