  4. PittRace with Porsche Club

Yea, I was same story. New section is fun.
  5. WOT, car holds 6K RPM, hard track use

So I'm gonna datalog this next time at the track, and we can figure out where I went wrong, and fix that. So the mishi oil cooler may not be enough, or this torque limit can be removed with a tune?
  6. PittRace with Porsche Club

Also, I'm instructing, so you will probably be my student... They stick like cars with like cars...
  7. WOT, car holds 6K RPM, hard track use

That hard left turn, and sometimes cresting the hill coming down the back straight. Which coincidentally is a hard uphill right into a left turn. Wondering also if anyone has had fuel starvation issues with this thing yet in corners and how that shows up with a hpfp?
  8. WOT, car holds 6K RPM, hard track use

bleed it all the way down through the calipers. I use ate type 200 and it works fine. If you're not too hard on the stock stuff, just use that, but make sure its fresh.
  9. PittRace with Porsche Club

I'll be there with the Porsche club in july again. I'll see you there.
  10. WOT, car holds 6K RPM, hard track use

First time, you should be fine on stock brake pads. Be sure to bleed the brakes with fresh fluid before hand.
  11. WOT, car holds 6K RPM, hard track use

Steeda linear with ford track pack shocks. Stock PP pirelli's with carbotech xp-10 pads front and rear. intake, exhaust, map intercooler and mishi oil cooler.
  12. WOT, car holds 6K RPM, hard track use

Yea, it was definitely like it was stuck at 6K exactly. I looked down repeatedly thinking, why aren't you going any further. Advance trac was full off, but from what I am hearing, that may not be a real thing. Some of the other track guys will burn up rear pads even in full off. When it was...
  13. WOT, car holds 6K RPM, hard track use

It felt like the throttle body closed, no misfire or anything, just the car wouldn't rev any higher. And the car is a manual. So adam, you are saying 6K is the new rev limit and I just need to short shift all the time?
  14. The Big Fat Track Car Cooling Thread

lower temp thermostat and cooling fan triggers really have no effect at track speeds and temps. Thermostat would have already been open, and fans are really only good for the pits and parked.
  15. PittRace with Porsche Club

This was a pretty well run event, had to learn the full coarse and boy was that fun. Got a downhill turn comparable to laguna's corkscrew, and some really fun esses that are throttle steerable. Anyways here's one vid, one more to come when its done uploading. And sorry for the slant, but it...
  16. Issues with turning off traction control/Car having a hard time starting/limp mode?

That service advancetrac message is a fault in the ABS computer, probably from the spin. It should go away with normal driving, if not, a wheel speed sensor may be messed up or just dirty/blocked.
  17. WOT, car holds 6K RPM, hard track use

So I had a track day at Pitt Race this weekend. When the track was dry, and I was pushing hard, coming out of a hard (1.1-1.33G) left hander, transitioning to a short straight, then a right, the RPM would hold at 6K exactly in third gear with my foot to the floor. Traction/Advancetrac settings...
  18. Camber plates

I'm running the motion plates, they are maxxed at the stock mounting points and have given me 2.1 degrees of camber on steeda ultralite lowering springs. I'd like more, so I may go vorslag or slot my stock mounting points. For the street, they are great though.
  19. Issues with turning off traction control/Car having a hard time starting/limp mode?

When you spun, did you immediately clutch in, or did the car die from spinning backwards and coming to a stop? If so, disconnect the battery and reset. Tons of modern cars do this, and if they have a good SMG/DCT trans, its a pain to fix on the spot.
  20. In a fever of upgrades

I would just wrap there (near the diff), around where its close to the trans, and the headers. Other than that, there shouldn't be issues. Maybe near the fuel tank, but it shouldn't be a problem.
