  1. "Rear Axle Differential Temp Increased, Decrease Speed" warning

Anyone put a spacer or some foam on the sensor? I havent seen a failure yet...
  2. So I hit a Gator, on MRR GT350 wheels...

I thought the rest were bad in a track forum, but you sir... you... Its the colored stripey things that keep me on track most of the time.
  3. Road Course Suspension

So I have Steeda Linear Ecoboost springs with Ford Performance Track pack shocks on a Performance Pack ecoboost. Biggest praise so far was from one of my faster students, who had a c7 stingray. "This is the most balanced car I have ever ridden in! It pivots, turns in, and puts the power down...
  4. So I hit a Gator, on MRR GT350 wheels...

Mid Ohio last weekend, just giving a shout out. We were running with the chicane at the end of the "front straight". There was a massive hole before the right hand gator going into the chicane. I am a gator hog, so I tried turning in early and getting the car up and over, but found that big...
  5. JLT Intake 2015 Ecoboost results, dyno testing

Vinny, any chance I could get the foam heat shield and some new brake cooling ducts. old ones got a bit hot at my last few track days...
  6. "Rear Axle Differential Temp Increased, Decrease Speed" warning

Supposedly its brake controlled torque bias, but I bet there's still quite a bit of traction control going on back there.
  7. "Rear Axle Differential Temp Increased, Decrease Speed" warning

It literally sounds like a bad wheel bearing at parking lot speeds while turning. I'm gonna re-check fluid level and go from there. Once its warmed up, I've got no noise whatsoever.
  8. "Rear Axle Differential Temp Increased, Decrease Speed" warning

Anyone getting increased noise with the heavier fluid? I changed mine out to the 75-140 and now the rear is really noisy at parking lot speeds.
  9. "Rear Axle Differential Temp Increased, Decrease Speed" warning

Only way I have gotten "limp mode" was from a DTC for oil overtemp, when the ecoboost doesn't even have an oil temp sensor. Its inferred from the coolant temp and other variables. Even then, my limp mode was a 6K rev limiter for less than 15 seconds or so
  10. Raceland Coilovers??

I'll say this. Many in the BMW world have had good experiences. Many have had bad. Hard track use WILL snap the housing in half, or worse.
  11. Brake caliper piston seals? Any info?

So, I am a bit dumb, just to start. I have run my stock rubber piston seals at the track, with hot as crap track pads. All but two have dry rotted, 4 fronts, and both rears on an Eco performance pack. While I am still within B2B warranty, I would like to be able to rebuild them at some point...
  12. Sock's Project 6G

I'll give it a try for next season. Got enough type 200 to last the rest of the year for now.
  13. Sock's Project 6G

I think its type 200 in there right now. Its the pads, the fronts are dying fast.
  14. Roadcourse tire pressure for RE-71R's

Ever tried the stock pirelli's at 40 rear, 38 front? Sidewalls get really stiff, but you wear the centers pretty fast. I usually keep up with guys on slicks. I would probably say for the 71's, closer to 35 or 36. From what I have heard about them is they get squishy when they get higher than...
  15. 10.77@130mph - Full Weight - No Nitrous - No Methanol - Stock Converter

Stock hood is aluminum. And just about the only hood I've seen out that weighs less is the full CF Tiger Racing hood. The rest of the "CF" hoods weigh more.
  16. Sock's Project 6G

I've got the JLT cooling ducts already, so it looks like R12's are in the future.
  17. Sock's Project 6G

If I am overcooking XP-10's on a hot day, do you suggest G-loc 12s? or something higher?
  18. The Big Fat Track Car Cooling Thread

I would love a finned diff cover plate like my old M3 race car, if anyone was so inclined to cast or mill one.
  19. No parking lines on new camera

yea, reflash the software if you don't have a setting. We get it a lot at work. One thing we havent been able to fix is if its slow to bring up the camera, and I'm starting to have the problem. fun...
  20. Good 220+ Treadwear Track Tires

Get some heat in the stock Pirelli P-Zeros, I've outhandled some "good" drivers on slicks running both 255/40R19 all around, and the 275/40R19 all around on different days.
