At last service, so around 3,000 miles before. Also at the last service the oil level was OK (and I used it pretty the same driving style), so I don't think about an unusual oil consuption.
Before leaving the shop, there was two mechanics doing a preliminary inspection, they really did nothing...
2019 model, the car has 20,000 Km (12,000 miles), serviced at 15,000 Km (9,000 miles), next service was due in another 10,000 Km (6,000 miles).
Was driving on a fast road, so not so high speed but mid-high rpm during the overtakes.
It was driving normal, no performance issues or temperatures...
Unfortunately I did not found any 96R sized battery here in EU, if not from "strange" unknown brands that I'm not willing to test. :)
I've found in this thread, that the guy (with a GT) installed a D4700, that is 19cm tall, and he said it fits and the cover can be closed.
Hopefully it will work.
That's not my racing car, it's my daily drive toy.
Does anyone know if I can go for a 19cm (7.5") tall battery versus the 17.5cm stock battery? I've found AGM batteries, but only in that size here in EU (240x175x190).
I see chaps with GTs have used one, I assume it has the same battery case/space.
Today I wanted to change my battery for an AGM, the reason is because I usually drive it for short trips to have it parked for days. With my previous experience (other cars) I always ended with f*ed batteries and I've found a solution only by using AGM batteries (they can sustain the continue...
Who said that the supercharger would "fix" the gearing? I mentioned it as an example: if I could have modified my Bullitt, I would have done so (supercharer... and everything else).
But you can't do this in EU, unless you're crazy enough to give up to the 5 years warranty.
The most powerful...
I have the additional plan over the standard warranty about the electronic (7 years), "Ford Protect" or whatever it is called, that will cover the electronic. You can extend that even more I think, and it would be very convenient IMO, considering that all the faults I had so far (in around 4...
They wouldn't know? Last time i went to the Ford here (because of the issue of this thread), they wanted the local shop to to connect the car online with the main Ford dealership to check that it was eligible for the repair, they scanned everything.. how do you think it will end if I go there...
And I didn't mentioned the other restrictions we have (and what we have to pay for..) due to the engine size, power, and whatever... that is the reason of why the Bullitt (but the Mustang 5.0 in general) is perceived as more exclusive than "supercars" here, while over there is a "daily car"...
We can't do this in EU (in the specific Spain), there's no Ford Racing, neither we could modify the car in its mechanical parts (engine, wheels, etc.) without registering it again (a long procedure, that is expensive and often denied), plus it must be done by a third party shop and we'll lose...
The issue I had wasn't only related to the temperature, but it seemed related to the faulty baro sensors I had (see here: https://www.mustang6g.com/forums/threads/strange-error-code.146667/#post-3015986 ). I tried to reproduce it after the fix and couldn't... but worth to say that the...
Update on this as I didn't post the solution (just in case someone come with the same error).
As expected the faulty parts were two (baro) sensors next to the catalyzer, they changed... problem solved.
I won't bet on it, coz I never tried, but I think while the exhaust will be fully open, the ECU mapping (if it works like the Sport+) will not be the same as Track mode.
No I said that if you try to save Sport+ in MyMode it sounds different, hence Sport+ ECU mapping is NOT saved in MyMode... so it is a bug or it is intentional (for whatever reason Ford decided to limit it). The fact that you're not interested to it, doesn't make the issue less relevant (to us...
No you can't, you can't save Sport+ in MyMode, neither by changing the wheel mode, if you try to "copycat" the whole Sport+ mode in MyMode, the map is different and the car sounds different.
I know.. I'm saying that you (apparently) cannot have the Sport+ driving mode (ECU mapping) saved in the MyMode settings, so you cannot have Sport+ with (in example) the soft steering wheel stored there.
Not the case.. In Sport+ i can save MyMode as is, even without changing the steering wheel settings, and the sound is different.
As for the suspension, I always drive with Magneride on Sport/Track, the soft settings is too soft for my driving style (while it's very comfortable on some roads here...
