Yes, same GT350 intake and throttle body, the car is identical to the US version, except for the "optional" (that here are stock), we got the full package (including the BO audio and the CD player.. whenever it counts) and you have no optional to chose from. In some countries you can't even...
Yo everyone, so I've collect few KM's but enough to have some fresh impressions.
I bought a 2019 Bullitt with around 5K Km on it (Ford owned, used as exposition and test for potential buyers), it's basically "new", the price here in Europe is damn expensive (if compared with you in the US) and I...
This... unless there is/was an update for the US Bullitt as well, all the dyno I have seen online couldn't reach the rpm limiter in 4th gear (the speed limiter kick in before).
If you have seen "only" 158 max, it means that you didn't pulled the 4th at limiter, and shifting to 5th at mid rpm you'll need a way more than a "long straight" to pass that speed. You should try the max speed in 4th at limiter and then shifting to 5th to see if there's space for more (I think...
Alle the above except being a McQueen fan, plus I find it quite unique in style, a perfect mix between modernity and timeless fashion. When I buy a car I'm always worried that I could get bored of its look, but looking at the Bullitt and its subtle but stylish difference versus the GT, I believe...
Thanks! Gonna check mine... is it supposed to be delivered to EU or it is just a German thing? And why they hell they didn't told every customer instead of waiting for them to "ask"? Grrrrrr.
That is the reason of why many dyno graphs that calls out an increased power due to ECU "tuning" are nothing more than the speed governor removed/increased, since the max power/torque is right above the limiter in 4th gear.
That's another point to take in account, whenever the (very) friendly shop assured me that they can do their stuff (I imagine it's a matter of persons, nor technical things) to make the mod irrelevant even in the case of a engine issue or dump sent to Ford for inspection (it happened already)...
It will eventually work with the 91 we have here.. what I don't "like" is the 600€ to have 10hp more (maybe) and the limiter removed. :)
With my glorious RX8 I were used to download the stock ECU, modify whatever I wanted and up it back for the price of a chinese OBD2 interface (16€) ...it's the...
That tune as been done on premium fuel (I think 98? That isn't available here), he doesn't recommend it to be used with anything below 93 .. or at least you won't have that kind of benefits, that's why I said it would be a "waste" of money in my case.
I've looked at Steeda EU, here I can access only to 95 and 100 octane fuel (that is the equivalent of about 91-93 in the US) so i'm not sure of what I could get from a custom tune with a stock Bullitt, so investing 600€ seems a little over the boundaries in my case (as I don't plan to add any...
Ye, I mean in general (on the web). I've found only two videos of a Bullitt tested on the autobahn, one from a famous youtuber (autopNL), ironically he's hitting the limiter at 260 km/h in 4th gear as expected :) As you can see from that video it isn't that hard (nor illegal) to find a good road...
Ok guys.. but leaving theories apart, how's possible that none with a *stock* Bullitt (or a GT PP1) and the speed limiter removed didn't tried the top speed (on road) yet? That's the strange part I couldn't figure out...
I've seen GTs (and Bullitt) going for 173mph reaching the limiter in 4th (that is how they are rolled..) with unlocked speed limiters, the car IMO can perform much higher than this (while maintaining an acceptable level of security), I find odd that to have two resting gears above the 4th.. if...
Gotcha... Thanks for the confirming. I hoped that I could have used a "Chinese" OBD2 interface to download the original firmware, modify it and up it back like my other cars. :)
If that's not the case I will go for a custom mod... now to decide (find) what's the cheapest option available in EU...
Hi everyone, tried to search the forum for the (subject) simple question, however I couldn't found a direct answer, so here's the question: I live in EU, on certain roads here there's no speed limits, I would like to remove (increase) the 260 Km/h limit on my Bullit (that I can reach in 4th...
Hi Everyone, thank you for have accepted me to this community. I'm from Italy (living in Spain) and I just bought a Mustang (a 2019 Bullitt).
Had to swap my glorious RX8 (what I awesome machine!) .. so I was pretty shocked to drive my first "muscle.. ops pony car", for me it's like have passed...
