It doesn't switch the ECU mapping, even if the drive mode saved and shown on the display is Sport+ or Track. I don't think it's an intended feature (because I don't find a logic behind it), it looks like more a bug or a software restriction.

That's an intended limitation (if it makes sense or not, it's another matter). What's odd is that if you try to save the whole Sport+ or Track Mode in MyMode, the ECU map will be different. You'd expect that changing nothing and saving the current mode (no matter what) in MyMode, and then...

Yes they did, and cleaned the filter as well. It's just they wanted to change it, considering the (supposed) low amount (I would have paid for it) and then realized that Ford doesn't even sell it if not for the whole piece for 600€.

Yes, it is the same filter used in the GT350. The odd part is not that isn't available as spare part (I know it is, at least in the USA), but that Ford Italy said it's not...! I can buy it from a third party... but I wanna know why Ford doesn't supply it, makes no sense.

Update: Will collect the car back tomorrow morning (May 19th). Since the issue (happened April 27th) they took exactly 3 weeks (15 working days) for the inspection, engine delivery and swap. It could have been shorter if there wasn't the delay with the manifold shipment. They didn't provided...

Small Update The intake manifold (wrongly delivered to the wrong shop...) arrived, the new engine has been assembled and installed... and started. They have to complete the installation, doing the tests and my Mustang should back to me next week as planned. Further updates on Monday.

Coincidentally I recently broke an RX8 because of a spark plug electrode (it uses IRIDIUM spark plugs) got broke and fall into one of the rotors, destroying the apexes. :( I know that bad things can happen, I only want to be sure that the thing didn't broke because of my "not so calm" driving...

Considering the infernal noise that come out from the engine, I would be very worried to accept a rebuild in place, since probably the consequences of that broke piston extended to who know how many other parts. We'll see in the upcoming days... very unfortunately as they have just lift...

Update Got a call from the dealer. They did a preliminary inspection.. and my guessing was wrong. Not the OPG, but a piston cracked (!), they have inspected the cylinders using a video probe, there's a "hole" in one piston (Cylinder n.6). No oil leak or unusual consumption, the oil is there but...
