    Anyone know where I can pick one of these up for an s550? seems they were made for a bit but I can’t track one down. I have a vague recollection of this being posted recently, maybe even by me, but the search is failing me.

    Yep not abnormal. There is no sound proofing above the trans in these cars. If I ever drop my trans I will line it with dynomat.

    I am tuned. It is removed. The car still “learns” some rev hang once the ecu completes its 200 mile relearn after the flash. That’s why I think it may be tire size related because the car isn’t sure where to hold revs between shifts. none of that negates the 8” clutch throw, 3” long friction...

    What it seems to be doing is hunting for the right Rpm. Mostly it rev hangs, sometimes it drops the revs too far. It basically has no clue. But it will sit the revs at a set rpm if I stop mid shift so that’s clearly what it’s doing. I just drove to lunch and verified that.

    Stock diameter is 27.7. I’m at 26.2 inches. so it’s about a 150rpm difference at 70mph in 4th.

    It’s not tune related the car had horrible rev hang stock. It’s much better now with the tune. I think it’s rev match related. I’ll have to try toggling it off for awhile.

    Yeah E85 saves me a shift change pretty often on the track. Some corners I would have to shift into two now I can keep it in 3.

    Someone tell me if this is just in my head. In normal exhaust mode, the revs hang longer on shifts so I have to shift slower. in track exhaust mode (wide open) revs drop immediately. this is not drive mode dependent. Am I imagining this or has anyone else experienced this?
