The tremec itself is 90% of the difference. I should not have driven the dodge because now I’m hell bent on ditching the mt82. The tremec feels exactly like my old ford top loader 4 speed which I love.
You have the temec though. Big difference in that setup from my mt82. I have no doubt ford has the tremec set up better than dodge does. They sure as hell don’t have the mt82 set up correctly from the factory though. My short throw mt82 shifter is still a longer throw than the stock dodge.

I have a vague recollection of this being posted recently, maybe even by me, but the search is failing me.
I am tuned. It is removed. The car still “learns” some rev hang once the ecu completes its 200 mile relearn after the flash. That’s why I think it may be tire size related because the car isn’t sure where to hold revs between shifts.

So I just drove my boss’s 21 scatpack manual. That thing drives with 0 rev hang. You actually have to keep your foot on the gas between shifts to stop it from dropping too low. I can shift that car just as fast as an automatic. And the clutch is an appropriate length, not 8 inches of travel like...
What it seems to be doing is hunting for the right Rpm. Mostly it rev hangs, sometimes it drops the revs too far. It basically has no clue. But it will sit the revs at a set rpm if I stop mid shift so that’s clearly what it’s doing. I just drove to lunch and verified that.
Yeah come to think of it I bet it’s the tire size issue. Time to go to work in forscan and see if I can get the pcm to relearn it before reloading my tune.
That would make a lot of sense. My tune does kill 90% of the rev hang, 99% of it until the computer relearns my driving habits. If I shift like Steve McQueen while it’s learning it stays with no rev hang for quite awhile.

It’s not tune related the car had horrible rev hang stock. It’s much better now with the tune. I think it’s rev match related. I’ll have to try toggling it off for awhile.

In normal exhaust mode, the revs hang longer on shifts so I have to shift slower.
in track exhaust mode (wide open) revs drop immediately.
