  1. ESS kit for 600whp, supporting upgrades needed?

Dude nobody is comparing a manual mustang to an auto hellcat. Take that shit into another thread. I’m not considering an auto hellcat nor have I raced one.
  2. ESS kit for 600whp, supporting upgrades needed?

EcoBoosts can beat GTs when both are in stock form on an autocross course. A lot of cars do certain things better than a GT or Hellcat. a hellcat spanks me in an all out straight line drag. My car would spank a hellcat around a road course. A GT350 would spank me around a road course. I’m...
  3. ESS kit for 600whp, supporting upgrades needed?

And I never said I was beating them in a roll, re-read my post. I said i lose in a roll, just not as bad as you think. apparently you missed that part, you were too busy calling weight to hp ratio irrelevant, even though it’s one of the most important predictors of performance there is and...
  4. ESS kit for 600whp, supporting upgrades needed?

Lmao. Yeah that’s true, that’s what racing is. putting it that way is like saying Ford won at LeMans because they beat Ferraris brake setup and drivers. It is technically true. Nobody says that though. They just say Ford won.
  5. ESS kit for 600whp, supporting upgrades needed?

I’m talking about manual hellcats because that’s what I was considering trading into, that’s what we were discussing in the thread before you decided to add your 2 cents, and that’s the hellcat that i run against that’s owned by an acquaintance locally. No shit an auto car would slap me, just...
  6. ESS kit for 600whp, supporting upgrades needed?

No doubt it’s still faster but it’s closer than you think. A stock hellcat manual runs a 11.9 quarter at the strip. A stock mustang gt manual runs a 12.5. Off the strip where traction isn’t perfect the gap closes based on driver skill and tire. I put down 460whp/450wtq on the dyno. A hellcat...
  7. ESS kit for 600whp, supporting upgrades needed?

You’re right. Was trying to type that while watching tv and getting talked at by my fiance. 🤦.
  8. ESS kit for 600whp, supporting upgrades needed?

It is, and I would. I lost by a door length or two to a manual hellcat the last time I ran one from a roll. No doubt I’d be going bigger pulley etc on the cat
  9. ESS kit for 600whp, supporting upgrades needed?

So you think just go dw400 and the supercharger kit?
  10. ESS kit for 600whp, supporting upgrades needed?

that’s actually the setup I was looking at, the dw400 and boost a pump
  11. ESS kit for 600whp, supporting upgrades needed?

What kind of fuel system are you running?
  12. ESS kit for 600whp, supporting upgrades needed?

Don’t need to blow the tires off. It will add torque down low just not nearly as much as a whipple. Whipple was the other option I was looking at but the propensity of a pd blower to heatsoak concerns me
  13. ESS kit for 600whp, supporting upgrades needed?

Just kind of bored at 460whp and want more torque down low. Don’t want something half assed that will heatsoak or go lean on a road track and cause problems though. I track the car once a month in the summer and drive it on the street a lot on the more fun roads near my house. The GT350 would...
  14. ESS kit for 600whp, supporting upgrades needed?

Thanks in advance. Just trying to price out what I would need so I can make the best decision before spending another $5-10k.
  15. ESS kit for 600whp, supporting upgrades needed?

As you know if you’ve seen my 3 prior posts about trading my car in, I’ve been kicking around the idea of moving into a gt350 or a hellcat. Yes, completely different cars. Which leads me to half a thought I can spend the same money on my car that it would take to upgrade (8k-10k) and end up with...
  16. Is this tire toast?

I’m not running that tire. Take it back to the store you got it from and tell them to warranty it. That looks like a factory defect to me, maybe an air bubble popped and split it.
  17. MT82 question (operation)

Yep. Mine doesn’t do it when cold. It will do it when hot. I think the clutch expands slightly and barely touches the flywheel or something. I’m going to switch to some sort of synthetic clutch fluid and see if taking water absorption out of the equation helps it any. My theory is over the past...
  18. Should I have it retuned??

I don’t think that’s abnormal for a 5.0. It’s a small displacement motor that revs high to make power. I’m not boosted though so maybe someone else can share their numbers.
  19. suspension mods - feedback appreciated

    Gotcha, my bad, thanks
  20. suspension mods - feedback appreciated

It’s not an issue with the tension taken off the line by moving it closer to the firewall it fits like it was actually intended to. I added the fuel injection clamp for added security and it’s never coming off now.
