The pistons are still the weak link. No engine can be stronger really... than its weakest link.
I think it's great if they've gone stronger and lighter... that promotes higher rpm and with the cams basically the same as the BOSS 302, that makes sense. So we can expect to see a higher rpm from...
NONSENSE! Seriously... In which model year did Ford fail to sell each Mustang they intended to sell?
I can only remember 1 time I saw a surprise... a 2012 Mustang GT convertible sat in a dealership in Tampa for a LONG time and I considered buying that because I knew I'd get a great price...
Yup. This is what I'm saying... no incentive, at least for 2015. Thinking Ford will just blast it outta the park all for fun and at its own expense... doesn't make sense to me. Sometimes there are really cool things we could all do and only the wealthy tend to because of the cost involved.
I've...
1st, the 1974 model got less power and torque than the 73 it replaces and the 1994 Mustang came along to replace the 1993 and it got the same engine... same power, heavier vehicle. When the 4.6L replaced the 5L, it had the same power, so that "always more" argument is out the window with me...
Has it not run its course? 20+ pages and we're using nearly every European vehicle in Europe now as some sort of base for vehicle weight in America....
It seems over from here. Then again... I'm just leaving. ;)
Me too... I've said 435 here and I think I gave the possibility of 410tq. I don't see it being above those numbers for the same reasons you guys have, plus, it's easier for them to pass emissions if they give it a tune to compensate and leave it to the individual owners to have that tuned back...
I did the math and it does work out in favor of just buying the more expensive fuel. The biggest problem is, I cannot always get that fuel. If I go to Tampa(FL) and don't turn right around to go home, I'll have to fill down there. It's typically cheaper there anyway, but I haven't found any...
Provided you have another $5,000.00 sitting around with nothing to do and you can install it yourself...
Honestly, that or a turbo(best option) would be the answer... not everyone can afford it though, to be sure.
Oh... For me, the F-body went out in 2002, beneath Mustang... thanks to the Cobra. The 96-04 2V wasn't all bad, but would need help against the 98-02 F-body, for sure. I also feel that, since most of those 4th gens ran about 13.5 on the drag strip and didn't really show much on a road course...
I agree that lighter is better, particularly for racing, fuel economy, general handling and driver confidence.
That said, the 2015 Mustang will, according to Ford, beat the previous BOSS 302 on road courses. The BOSS 302, for its part, beat the M3 and various other performance cars, on the...
It just looks like it's trying to wink, and I think that's the idea in that photo... of an apparent "movie car."
Camaro's, I won't say have ever been as sharp as the Mustang, except perhaps during the Mustang II era. I try to keep in mind, GM was largely copying Ford altogether when they made...
I can understand that... I wasn't mad, to be sure... It's just that when silliness is met with silliness, anger shouldn't be the result.
PS I never thought he had a V6... that's where the silliness met.
Thank you! I do the same... logic, not emotion. Too many years around cars, I guess. To me, they're basically all for sale and ultimately, disposable. Heh... like federal politicians! :p
Oh... you're probably right about that. The best part is, they usually do catch up(except in overall sales)...
Well GEE.... One would think that I was making light of the mere idea... Duh-huh... :tsk: Smart asses... Too bad they're so wrapped up in it they can't spot a joke. :frusty:
Lemme spell it out for you... I think you'd lose your money on that insanely unadvisable bet. :headbonk:
I'm not sure anyone thinks otherwise. They're merely not in agreement in all aspects.
You aren't alone. We're watching about 100 people debating this matter right here... you feel alone?
The thing is, most people are stuck, having been forced to live as close to within reality as there...
It's only going to abide by the standards where it's sold. That is to say, if any country requires a specific thing, such as head or tail lamp size, the car must simply comply or not be sold there. If those required items don't have matching criteria, there's only a choice of making 2 different...
The A/C , higher speeds and colder temp tests were all started(by the EPA) in 2008. That coincides w/ economy ratings being re-figured for basically all previously tested models, dropping in each case, about 3mpg. Curb standards are still considered as the standard features w/ fluids but, no...
