  1. 2015 Mustang versus next 6th gen Camaro

Sounds like whining to me. I've built several cars for racing and street use. It's not difficult to take out 300 lb from basically any car, if you want to take it out. See the facts in the following... The C3 weighed as much as 3500 + and the Camaro has weighed as little as 2900... look up...
  2. Daytime Running Lights (DRLs) on the S550

Back in 97, my g/f had a 95 S-10(I always got stuck driving-it was a lemon) with DRL's and she simply cut the switch out and wah-lah, problem solved. Those are quite different than LED lights though, beginning with being ugly. They also were, as are most GM's today(changing, thanks to Audi)...
  3. 2015 Mustang versus next 6th gen Camaro

The 1st time I saw anyone call the 2010 Camaro a pig was on LS1tech, not a Ford site... Of course, the GT500 still weighed more at the time, so that made sense. Plus, the V6 Camaro weighed over 3700 and the 4th gen didn't weigh that much in its heaviest V8 trim. Plus, the Mustang GT weighed...
  4. Daytime Running Lights (DRLs) on the S550

Personally, I hope they're not ever to be required... just another waste of money on account a... someone stupid thinks other people are too stupid... This concern is ALL in being taught how to drive in the correct way and nothing more. As for the burnout concerns... crashes happen, period...

  6. Guess the 2015 5.0 Coyote HP and TQ numbers

Now back to it after taking out the dogs! I know that inside, the 5L, like the 4.6L it replaced, is smaller than the old SBF... I own a 4.6L and a 351W(408, actually)... I was talking about the dimensions that matter to people... the outside. Thanks to the heads, the 5L is FAR larger than...
  7. Guess the 2015 5.0 Coyote HP and TQ numbers

I see that line of thinking, but even so... it could happen that Ford is holding back in the tune. On the other hand, they may add DI next. I don't see any reason for a short MY... they could simply offer it from September to September... like the did for decades before the 2003 Cobra came out...
  8. 2015 Mustang versus next 6th gen Camaro

It would hardly be the 1st time. That said, basically every unrealistic Camaro fan on planet earth is who expects that. They've been talking about it for months already. It will be on, apparently the Alpha platform in either ATS(likely) or CTS(unlikely) form. The ATS is just 3373 lb w/ turbo 4...
  9. Official 2.3L Ecoboost Thread

 Are you seriously asking what the C02 emissions is on a performance platform? The Ecoboost 4cyl engines are typically under 200(to under 140) and the N/A engines are typically more, but honestly... They ALL pass every ridiculously unimportant emissions test there is... including "Do they...
  10. Daytime Running Lights (DRLs) on the S550

I agree with the simple fact they're totally unnecessary and there should be a real "ON/OFF" switch because some of us really can tell when it's dark outside! :clap2: There was never a need and there never will be... it's just mommy making sure we're seen by others and that simply disgusts me to...
  11. 2.3EB Vs 2.7 Vs 3.5

I didn't follow another article or link, but it seems we're getting some odd information. The Mustang engine lineup for 2015 is confirmed, as is the 2015 F-150, which gets the 2.7L EB V6. They've dropped the 6.2L and apparently made the 3.5L the big torque 1/2 ton engine. It's a natural with 2...
  12. 2015 Mustang to race at Goodwood THIS Saturday (updated w/ videos)

Not fer nuthin' ... they could've done about all that with exhaust changes. Maybe cutouts? :headbonk: We know they made engine changes, of course... It sounds great!
  13. 2015 Mustang to race at Goodwood THIS Saturday (updated w/ videos)

I'm thinking it's more of a directional(and light angle) issue than alignment, but makes the alignment look bad. There are simply too many bends in this to make it look perfect, not that it is perfect... just seems that if you move around about 90* or so, it's going to give the exact same "fit...
  14. Guess the 2015 5.0 Coyote HP and TQ numbers

Me too, but that's simply asking too much, so I'll settle for most instead.:first: They've already told us it's a 5L and think of all those useless badges Ford would need to get rid of... heh. Didn't we already get word that the 5.2L isn't happening, at least not now? They may use it for a...
  15. 2015 Mustang versus next 6th gen Camaro

3500 lb is pretty near 3300... just sayin' ... 3800 isn't really far off in terms of percentages. Seems they'll be very happy if they can get it to 3500, realistically. I expect it to be almost identical to Mustang, but that's just me. CTS is only part of the platform... the ATS is another...
  16. 2015 Mustang versus next 6th gen Camaro

I've been saying this, we don't know if it will get the actual ATS version or the CTS... I'm still not calling it, but this has been my expectation based on the engines and expected performance. A V8 option in a car the size and near weight of the Corvette should've scared GM... maybe it did...
  17. 2015 Mustang to race at Goodwood THIS Saturday (updated w/ videos)

It figures that no ET would be shown, but it actually looked pretty good, like many others there. Apparently there isn't nearly as much interest on the part of the commentators as there obviously is from consumers. The Focus ST... blah blah... cool car, truly. Mustang smashes it to bits...
  18. Guess the 2015 5.0 Coyote HP and TQ numbers

We already know, according to Ford, the 50th Anniversary Edition won't be any more powerful than the rest of the 2015 GT's. It's a looks package so it has no reason to perform better, unless it's put into a car show. :D Whatever it weighs and whatever the power level, the 2015 GT is...
  19. 2015 Mustang to race at Goodwood THIS Saturday (updated w/ videos)

Who cares about that? People placed orders to the tune of nearly 10,000 in like 30 minutes, end of story. Prices don't make any difference for these purposes.
  20. 2015 'Stang vs 2014/15 Nissan 370z

I'm not sure looking at it as a turnoff is the right approach... it sours the idea before getting acquainted. Consider the positives here. It's clearly larger than the 370 and that will help add comfort and the ability to move 4 people at the same time. Besides, the Mustang generally spanks...
