Wondering how do y'all deal with road rage simply because you drive V8 Mustang ? Like people cutting you off , flying past you to get ahead of you or honking at you to move faster. Tailgating you?

Ignore them, why do I care about what someone else is doing? Unless they're being reckless and trying to put me or my car in danger, that's another story lol

People sometimes do that to me no matter what car I drive. Why do you think it is a "V8 Mustang" thing? I doubt most people can tell a V8 Mustang from an Ecoboost.

But the devil in me says your solution is to drive faster

I get way more "rev it" or do a burnout motions than anything . I pretty much ignore most of it, or smile and wave to a thumbs up, etc. But aggressive driving and/or road rage, I just try to ignore it and deflect away from it, ie change lanes, take an exit, etc. Then proceed normally.

It's definitely a Mustang thing, not sure about it just being a V8 Mustang thing, as every Mustang I've owned has been a V8 lol. I told my fiancé about this right before I bought my current one, and she didn't believe it, now that she's been in it enough, she sees what I'm talking about. EVERYONE that's driving a what they think is a fast car/truck, tries to race me, tries to cut me off to prove something....I'm assuming what they think is dominance?? Idk....

Dodge trucks love to f with me more than anything else on the road. It's a clear and obvious pattern. Second is crotch rockets.

How do I deal? I just continue doing what I'm already doing and ignore it most of the time. Or, I'll downshift and jump it a little if I'm in a good mood. If the young kids ask for a rev, I give them one. I believe that's part of passing the interest on to the future generations and keeping it alive. That's my rationale to rev it anyway. :)

Its always the diesel trucks for me. Whether Powerstroke, Cummins, or Duramax. I normally will just ignore them, but if there is a nice clear road, and no cops, I will do a little pull once in a while. Nothing crazy, just enough to pull a few busses on them, then let out and let them go on...

And yes, ANY kid asks for a rev, they get it . Now burn outs are a different story. Tires are toooo expensive :)

I call it "small PP syndrome" especially from the big ole guys in the Bro Dozers...
It's all insecurity, it's ridiculous if you actually think about it. Let me PROVE to a stranger that I'm tougher, cooler, faster...... At the end of the day people generally don't care or remember who you are or what you did.

Up until about a month ago when I raced my friend's 04 Cobra, the only other 'races' I've had in the 4yrs I've owned my car have been against two dodge trucks. One was diesel and the other I believe was gas. Bus lengths is accurate. :)

I think I actually experience less road rage in my Mustang. In fact, even left-lane blockers are slightly more likely to get out of my way when I'm driving this car. I think people assume that I'm the bigger asshole.

I don't know that I've ever experienced road rage that was obviously attributable to my driving a Mustang. And it's bright yellow with a hood stripe, so they see me.

Yeah I had a guy in a Duramax right after I got my ESS. Yeah, BUSSES. Like 5 of them by the top of 2nd gear. I just let out and hit 6th and cruised from there :) Statement made :)
