What kind of gas mileage are you getting?

I'm sure this this post wasn't wasn't intended for for EcoBoost and I would have preferred the GT but at the time it was $10,000 more. I'm running 93 octane with a COBB stage 2 tune lately this has been my highway miles (see attached photo)with 27-28 local miles.

Just to fill out the comparison, I regulary get 32+mpg (US) on the freeway & typically 26mpg around Sydney in my custom tuned Ecoboost running 95 equivalent, 145,000+km.

I find I'm using 5th and 6th gear more often than not. And this is driving mostly on 80 km/h (50 mph) and 60 km/h (37.28 mph) on a 16km (10 mile) each way daily commute. I've been as high as 13.6l/100km (17.3 mpg) and as low as 9.4l/100km (25 mpg). I only use Shell 93 octane with the occasional tank of Petro-Canada 94 octane. My car is a 2021 Mustang GT with the Performance Pack, non-active exhaust, no magnaride and the 6-speed with 3.73 rear.

One does not buy a GT if you’re worried about gas mileage.

I can get anywhere from 8-21mph, depending how I'm driving. I didn't buy this car to worry about how much gas it uses. Obviously, the lower the mileage, the more fun I'm having.

I'm kind of amazed how we "Western" folks complain about high gas prices; we're definitely spoiled. I remember reading a post about gas prices and I think the guy was in Netherlands with his Mustang GT and he posted that he pays over $12 a gallon for premium there (he converted their currency and volume to gallons and U.S. dollars).

I know most of the posts are for GT’s, but I have a 2018 Ecoboost PP. I have averaged 25.8 over 102,000 miles. That’s hand calculated. As Gman7176 pointed out, Ford’s calculations are optimistic.

That's why we change the setting in engineering mode. I changed mine by .2 and it now is pretty close in actual mpg.

Ford Mustang GT is not a mainstream or high-volume popular car in the Netherlands. While it has a dedicated fan base and active local car clubs, high-displacement V8 sports cars face extreme luxury and CO2-based "gas guzzler" taxes (BPM) in the country, making new models cost well over €130,000.

A Mustang GT is a little bit like a Ferrari in the Netherlands.

I thought about changing it, but the variation changes based on how much time is spent in stop-n-go traffic vs time spent on the highway. Since I record actual mpg in a spreadsheet after each fill-up, I decided to just leave it.

This is from my 2019 GT Auto, this was from a two day trip cruising at between 75 and 80mph. This is UK gallons so a bit bigger than US gallons. We are paying $10 a gallon at the moment for 98 in the UK.
