Nothing else uses the Mustang platform. It was originally based off the DEW98 platform (Lincoln LS), it was modified significantly and became the S197 platform. From it, we got the S550 and now the S650 platform. Only the Mustang has used the S197, S550, and S650 platforms.

2018 EB PP. The dealer re-flashed the transmission at about 42k miles. I was having intermittent issues - harsh shift from P to R, harsh downshifts 5-4 and 4-3 if I remember correctly. I’m at 88k miles now. No more issues.

I probably only use normal mode about 20-25% of the time. I much prefer the shift algorithms in sport+ and track modes.

The A10 in my 2018 Ecoboost started out pretty good. Around 40,000 it started shifting roughly. At 42,000 miles I had the dealer look at it. They reflashed it and that mostly fixed it. Works well in Normal mode. In Sport plus or track mode, it still shifts a bit harshly on occasion.

Okay, ”average“ throttle can vary quite a bit. I just got back from running a couple of errands. In normal mode, light/average throttle usually results in shifts occurring around 2200-2500 rpm. In sport mode, it’s more like 2700-3000 rpm. Adding just a little more throttle will push it to...

Off hand, I don’t remember. I do know that normal mode shifts much too early. I’ll pay attention next time I drive, which will probably be this evening.

I have a 2018 Ecoboost PP with 3.55 gears and 255/40-19 tires. At 60, 7th gear is 2700 rpm and 8th is 2300.

Toyota actually had a good supply of chips, so they had weathered the chip shortage better than others up to now. Apparently, they have exhausted the supply they had in stock and will see significant impact on their production capacity now.
