V8 owners, what's you best gas mileage record?

Unless you adjust your Indicated Average Fuel Economy gauge in the Mustang it normally reads about 2-3mpg high. Thank Ford for that.

I don't trust the readout, I always check based on the receipts and mileage from my trips.

Good question.
I never look at my gas mileage or how much gas is per gallon. On either the Mustang or the truck. Maybe I should pay more attention?? lol

I always calculate mine because the ones in the cluster are never right. But this mustang is the closest one I’ve ever had on a vehicle, it’s routinely .5 mpg off (high). Best I’ve gotten was 27.1 on a 200 mile trip without stopping. Windows down, a/c off, cruise control set at 70mph, only deviating to get around traffic or if stuck behind traffic. Car is a ‘15 gt premium and was completely stock aside from a custom mid pipe and axle backs

My consistent average for regular driving is 18-19 mpg. Longer trips I'll see 27 mpg. I keep my engine speed around 2k to 2.5k for cruising.

Best mileage for a combine trip (city - lots of highway - city) over about 70 miles was over 28.

Bone stock 2019 A10 GT. Highway speeds were 60-75mph.

I reset Trip B after oil change on 9/1 and went on a road trip to Denver from AZ. Probably around a 2k trip. Was in the 90s when I left and 107 when I got back. Coldest was 32 just east of Vail...got a little bit of snow. Elevation here is about 1100' and I drove up to about 13000' on Pikes Peak for the highest. Passed over the Continental Divide several times. Mostly two lane roads and always in one of the sport modes when going up and down the twisties. I have an AFE dry filter as the only mod. Average mpg was 29.3.

Best I have seen on my GT is 31 on a nice, leisurely trip. Mine is a road car, so the overall average after 13k miles is 27.7. I know that is probably a bit high, but I will take it.

Best average highway (so far) - ~17mpg (avg 65-70 mph) - ~60 mile trip

Best average around town (so far) - ~13.5mpg - daily commuting

Wow.....I didn't realize the GT350s got that few MPGs.

Like, at 70MPH, you can't even get 25MPGs on cruise control?

On the highway at least 25 although one day I did 55 on a highway for 40 miles and I got 33 but at the end of that ride I went on a abandoned airrstrip and made 2 1/4 mile runs and in those runs the mileage dropped to 21 mpg. Obviously the Guage isn't that accurate
. Car is a 19 base gt with only suspension mods. Springs sway bars etc.

The car calculated just under 30 mpg on my first highway trip, if its within a couple mpg of that number I think that's pretty good. I wasnt hammering on it but it didnt exactly hyper mile it the whole time either.

500 mile trip all highway, 6th gear, cruise control set on 75. But, I didn’t buy it for the gas mileage.

Cruise at 80mph on mostly flat hwy I get about 24mpg indicated and calculated (AFE has been adjusted) and mine is an auto. No mods, only an h pipe.

It's been supercharged since day 1, so I never really thought to check best gas mileage.
