Tinted finally - only took 5 hours (15% all around, 70% on windshield)

Decon, clay, correction and ceramic (wheels included) tomorrow

Anyone try to ceramic the mirrors and spoiler?

Looks sharp! I ceramic'd the spoiler and mirros. Only my lower trim and wheels remain to need ceramic. Made a heck of a difference clearing the bugs off after driving from Northern VA to Charlotte, NC, for the Ford Performance Racing School.

Went and visited the car at the body shop. Waiting on the new hood. They are trying to save the rt rear qtr fender that took some golfball size hits. :frown:

Lived in the Midwest for 6 years and I do not miss the weather at all.....especially the hail. I’m looking forward to seeing your car without the stripes. Did the body shop say anything about FJG and if it was a relatively easy color to match?

I heard conflicting information that switching brake fluid to Motul would cause issues with clutch master cylinder. The engineer in me doesn't see why as it should be similar properties for hydraulic use, but given that the fluid is different, I was worried. So, I did the separation of church and state and installed a clutch only reservoir for the master cylinder. I am not happy with the bracket as its thin aluminum and dented when I bent it in the vise. I may make a 18 ga steel one later now that I know the template is good. But proof of concept seems to work. Made a spacer for the screw so it didn't crush the plastic vent grill piece. It mounts to two metal tabs that the push pins went into.
Off to bleed the clutch system and flush brake fluid.

I'm doing the same project as we speak. I ended up using a piece of 1/8" x 1.5" aluminum angle with a 90 degree inside corner instead of the conventional radiused corner and whittled it down to mount to holes I punched in the thin cowl sheet metal next to the push pin hole. I angled the master cylinder to compensate for the cowl angle and spaced it to optimize positioning. It's plenty rigid and spreads out loading to prevent any deflection of the thin cowl lip. (Overkill for a simple mount but it works for me.) I'm also upgrading the clutch lines but not looking forward to the bleeding procedure.
