Prayers for a speedy recovery for you! I’m the same way, always worked on my cars myself. As I’ve gotten older, 43 coming up on the 13th, I’ve learned to give up control in order to gain it. Plus when that exhaust is singin at 7 grand I highly doubt you’ll be worried about who installed it! Just find a reputable exhaust shop and have them weld it in. I just have mine with the clamps but I think it would be better welded. Best of luck, hope you feel better soon and enjoy your car!

This is killing me. I bought the Steeda X-pipe because I liked the sound and they had a killer deal. BUT I just had Quadruple bypass open heart surgery and my chest is still too messed up to install it. And nobody works on my car but me unless it takes a special tool or skill.Im so impatient!!
Hate to hear that and hope you're doing better! The wait will be worth it once you get the x-pipe installed!

Put a Steeda H‑pipe on my active exhaust a while back. Wife hated it. Too loud, too rowdy, too “why is the car shouting.” So I pulled it off.

Fast‑forward, I swap to the FP Mach 1 exhaust and valance. Sounds great, nice and clean. Now my wife goes, “Hmm… kinda quiet. Maybe we should’ve kept the H‑pipe.”

Awesome timing, considering I sold it for sixty bucks after it sat listed forever. Practically gave it away. Now I can’t find another one anywhere near that price. Of course.

Damn, you probably should have just switched to quiet mode when she was in the car. I love the way the H pipe pairs with the factory active exhaust. Especially with the top down. 🐎

Chest and heart muscles be damned I waited long enough to put the x-pipe on. I installed it and I’m plenty sore but it’s on. I didn’t get to test it because of bad weather and being very tired. But it’s complete and on the ground ready to drive! Hard core hotrodder

Stainless power long tubes, Steeda H-pipe, factory active exhaust, Wengerd E-85 tune, cold start in normal mode.

B.T.W. I have quiet mode set for 9 pm to 7 am and once I get off my street I put it in sport+ driving mode and track mode for the exhaust. I love how it sounds at 80 mph on the highway.

On my 17 vert I also had stainless power long tubes but with a ford performance X-pipe and it was too raspy for my taste, so I went with an H this time around.

Sooooo how much louder does headers make a vehicle? Obnoxious? Videos probably don’t tell the truth.

It is a lot louder! But, if you have active exhaust it tames right down. I used to run around in sport or track, now I find myself in normal or sport. It's still a bit louder in all modes.

I’m having my Steeda H-Pipe installed Saturday weather permitting. First shop I contacted that’s performance based wanted $600 labor only. Stating it was a two hour job. I politely declined.

You don't need to pay someone to install it. All you need is a floor jack, a pair of jackstands, and a Sawzall. It's about a 20 minute job.

If it’s got active exhaust, I’d suggest taking the entire exhaust off to make the cuts so as not to damage the wire harnesses. Could stuff some towels in between the exhaust tips and the valance to keep the mufflers from tilting when the cuts are made (that’s what would damage the harnesses) but my shop just took the whole thing off. They also welded the h pipe, so it was about an hour or so in total. Charged me $250 if I remember right
