Steeda has an install video for the spoiler. It's not that difficult. Go for it.

Yeah i don’t have the tools lol. I did think about that too, but they knew what they were talking about, have good reviews, and just put a wing on a Z06 so I feel fairly confident.
Not having tools never stopped me. There's a sign in my garage that says "No job is too small for an expensive new power tool." Words to live by...
But the second shop sounds like they're not trying to snow you so if that's what you're comfortable with you should be fine.

Did the Steda spoiler come with a template, as mentioned by nibjones? This may account to the range in quotes.

I got a Steeda spoiler and need to have it drilled and installed - what is a ballpark good quote? I got quoted 1k and 6 hours of labor by one shop, and around 100 and an hour-ish by another. From watching videos, drilling and installing doesn't take that long. Feeling like the first shop either is greedy or is the walk price and they don't want to deal with it.

I should note that my car has the spoiler delete. So no holes.
If it comes with a template then it’s easy.
If not I would pay for installation.

It didn't, (I called and asked Steeda, which kinda sounds odd), but I printed out the Ford Factory drilling template in 36"x72". I probably will go the installation route, it's less than $100 and the shop seems trustworthy based on my conversation with them.

That's the exact path I followed when having my Anderson Composite unit installed. No template supplied but downloaded. Cant help with other costs as I had other work done & the spoiler clear coated and well I'm In Oz.

the money you would spend to pay someone to install it, you can buy a cordless drill, a nice set of bits, a roll of blue painters tape and a good tape measurer, and a few beers for when you are done to look at the EASY job you just did!

Just use lots of tape, first hole drilled is always a small pilot hole, then drill the sized hole for the bolt to go through, remove the tape and install. It really is not a tough job.

There are tons of video's on Youtube you can watch to familiarize yourself before you do it.

I just put a swing on mine and it took me less than an hour, and 45 minutes was checking and double checking the template.
After that, used a punch and drilled the holes, install was easy.
I would by a drill and a punch and be done with it.

DIY, Honestly it’s not that difficult. Take your time and measure twice before you drill. If you miss by a little you can resize and use some sealant.
