To piggyback off this thread... I recently drove a 22 GT 10R80 and also a 21 Mach 1 and it had much better driving characteristics than even my wengerd tuned 2019 GT with mach 1 shift scheduling.
My 19 will never manually downshift into 3rd quickly.. it has a small delay while it rev matches - but the 22 will instantly downshift. also mine just wants to get to 8th gear as quick as it can in normal/drive around 35 mph and even sport at higher speeds. Resetting the adaptive shift seems to help a bit, but it always settles on the same driving habits.
I dont know what they changed, but the newer transmissions up shifts and down shifts so much faster with the paddle shifter & the regular driving characteristics are just butter smooth... its so frustrating that even a tune cant seem to make the 18-20's act the same, which is the main reason i got it. Dont get me wrong.. its still great, and no real issues... but it just seems to be a noticible difference between 18-20 and 21-23 that i cannot figure out.
Has anyone else had the chance to try this out and notice it? Or is it just me?
